it is far too delicate to hold a purse made of, say, leather

It's ok for light weight items
purchased this item so that I could take good pictures of my purses that I sell. Unfortunately this item is not heavy enough to hold a purse without holding the stand, or putting something on the bottom so that it doesn't fall over. The stand will extend up to 28 inches up, and gives the right amount of space between the bottom and the top of the stand, just needs to be heavier on the bottom. I wish I would have returned this item because all it does now is collect.

This was exactly what I needed for my business. It gave my bag set up the height desired to help aid in my display.

Not to sturdy, I had to weigh it down
used it to keep the growing lamp for my seedlings. Not to sturdy , I had to weigh it down. I guess i used it for something else other then what it was intended to so I really should't complain. Good day everyone.
