This lid is exactly 12" at the base part that would rest on your cake stand. If your stand is 12 inches or wider, then this will rest on top of it. The inside diameter is 11-3/8", so if your stand is smaller than that, then you can put the lid on the counter around the stand instead of resting on top of it, as long as your cake plus stand is not taller than 5-1/4", which is the inside height of this lid. 30 cm equals 11.81 inches, not sure if that would fit. I measured my cake cover and from outside edge to outside edge it is exactly 12 inches. Hope this helps
