We use our percolators every day. They last a long time but when they begin to fail and not make the coffee strong enough, it’s usually the thermostat. A very easy piece to replace and saves us the expense of burning new ones.

Percolator wasn't getting hot enough. This fixed it.

Replaced old thermostat on 12 cup Farberware percolator that did not complete brew cycle. Percolator now works like new.

These things go bad every 3 or 4 years

This is the correct thermostat for the newest FCP240A models, but in these new percolator models there is a 2" extension wire permanently spot-welded to one of the thermostat's tabs. There is no way to fit the above thermostat into FCP240A models w/o specialized tools.My Farberware Percolator is less than 3 years old. I will not buy another Farberware coffee product.

Fixed my favorite coffee pot

The description for this item says that it will replace the thermostat for a Farberware coffee pot, Model FCP. However, the thermostat received had only two connections for the wires; my coffee pot required three connections. It's best to check one's original thermostat before ordering.
