Gets the Job Done
I’ve been using the Debrox Ear Wax Removal Kit with the bulb syringe, and it’s honestly one of the easiest and most reliable ways I’ve found to deal with earwax at home. The system is straightforward: you use the drops first, and they create a light foaming action that helps soften and loosen built-up wax. Then you use the included bulb syringe with warm water to rinse everything out. The process feels gentle and not harsh, which was important to me. What I like most is how complete the kit feels. You’re not just getting drops—you also get the soft rubber bulb, which makes it easy to finish the job properly without needing extra tools. The bulb syringe itself is simple but effective. It’s soft and easy to squeeze, and it gives you enough control to rinse without feeling like you’re using too much pressure. Once you get the hang of it, the whole process takes just a few minutes. In terms of results, it works well for mild to moderate buildup. I’ve noticed clearer hearing and less pressure after using it, especially compared to just using drops alone. That said, it does take a little patience. You may need to repeat the process over a couple of days for heavier buildup. Also, you have to follow the instructions carefully—especially with water temperature and not using it if you have ear issues. Overall, this is a reliable, no-frills ear cleaning kit that does exactly what it promises. It’s affordable, easy to use, and a solid alternative to constant doctor visits for minor earwax problems.

Instructions Unclear, HERE'S THE RIGHT INSTRUCTIONS
INDEX [1] How my ear got stuck [2] Packaging and ChatGPT instructions [3] Attempt #1 (didn't work) [4] Freaking out [5] Attempt #2 (worked) [6] Pre-instructions [7] Step-by-Step Instructions [8] Post-instructions [9] TLDR [1] The product definitely works. You can skip to the instructions if you want to, but I'll be giving some background. I used a cotton swab to try to clean out my ear after feeling it was getting a little bit too waxy for my liking after using earphones for a while right after a shower, then accidentally pushed in the cotton swab too far into my right ear and pushing the wax pretty deep in. I started panicking because it's most definitely not normal to not be able to hear 80% of what you could before and constantly have my right ear sound like I'm either under water or wearing noise cancelling earphones 24/7. [2] So, I bought this product and followed the instructions. I also consulted with ChatGPT just to make sure I wasn't doing anything stupid to damage my ear. Here's what I was told from the instructions and ChatGPT. (1) Follow the instructions on the back of the packaging. (2) Flush gently 3-5 times because the ear canal is sensitive and to not damage it because it could lead to permanent ear damage or an ear infection if the wax is pushed in deeper and left there for too long. (3) If it doesn't work by the last day, go to a doctor because you don't want to risk an ear infection. [3] With that out of the way, let me put into perspective of what happened. Day 1, I did my first round of carbamide after the shower. 8 drops, 10 minutes in, 10 minutes drain, not much happened aside from a little popping. When nothing happened drastically, I thought it was fine because the packaging had said this was a 4-day process. Day 2, 10 drops in, 10 minutes in, 10 minutes drain, nothing happened besides some slight drainage similar to when you get out of a pool and your ears slightly drip out wax. This is where I started to panic because I didn't hear any popping or crackling like Day 1, so I asked ChatGPT again which told me I had to trust it and follow the instructions, or go to a doctor if I wanted immediate removal. Day 3, exact same situation as Day 2 but increased worry and "I'm freaking out WHY AREN'T YOU WORKING" vibes. Day 4, 10 drops in, 10 minutes in, 10 minutes out, gently flushed with the bulb 3-5 times, and I felt like I pushed the wax even deeper in my ear. This is where I started to freak out for a few reasons. I know doctors visits are generally pretty expensive. I might have messed up my ear unknowingly. I might have pushed in the wax even deeper. [4] I did a bunch more looking around in a freaked-out fashion. Here's what I found out. As of June, 2025, a visit to Urgent Care is $100, then the cleaning was $50, totaling $150 out of pocket. Apparently in January of 2021, it was $35 - $75 total for the same procedure which took the medical offices about 5 - 10 minutes. I only assume from the point I'm writing this that the price will go up simply just because of the health care industry. I called urgent care, and the lady at urgent care (super lovely btw) told me I could try hydrogen peroxide 3% mixed with warm water instead of carbamide peroxide (the solution in this product) and try an ear spoon with a rubber tip. Hydrogen peroxide is a bit stronger and works a bit faster but is also more risky. I didn't do either because I frantically continued searching around on Google, Quora, Reddit, and Facebook forums to see if any of them had useful information which ended up pretty disappointing. Then I looked into the reviews of this product to see why it had so many reviews and over 4 stars and found the solution to my ears. [5] [Skip this part if you want to see instructions] I followed the instructions from two different posts, aligned them, and disregarded everything I looked up beforehand with ChatGPT and forums. After letting the solutions sit for the time and flushing it out of my right ear, A TON OF WAX came out. I know in the sink it doesn't look like much, but try to imagine your pinky fingernail because it was about that much that came out. I then repeated it with my left ear because although I could hear out of it just fine, I wanted to give it a quick wash since I'm an avid earphone and headphone user. Not really much came out of my left ear, but it did feel cleaner! I'm so happy and so glad that I decided to look into the reviews before spending $150 for a 10 minute visit because this was $8 when I bought it. Both of my ears feel cleaner and can hear more. It almost feels like my hearing reaction time is faster than my eyes reaction time now. [6] PRE-Instructions: Some things to note when you're doing this is that after you finish the instructions, it's normal to feel a little light headed or off balance or dizzy. Lie down and rest a little. You are doing perfectly fine, don't panic, trust yourself and the other reviews, you'll be okay, promise. [7] I'll get into the instructions now. 1. Dry the outside of your ear a little bit, not inside the canal, with a tissue before anything else just in case you did something with water. ||| In my case it was the shower. 2. Tilt your head to the side and (optional: use your phone camera to see yourself) fill in your ear with the product's solution until it's about full or as much as you think you can fit in your ear. ||| I used what seemed like a lot. 3. Rest your body and head on a pillow sideways. Adjust your angle of your head while remaining sideways occasionally for comfortability and to allow the solution to move. ||| I didn't stick to singularly looking straight forward while sideways. 4. Do step 3 for 30 minutes MINIMUM. The solution needs time to work. This is OTC stuff, so have patience because it will pay off. ||| I went on my phone for this period of time, so it was fast. 5. After 30 minutes, get up, use a tissue or paper towel to drain out the carbamide peroxide if you have to walk a little bit, go to a sink or bath, then warm up some water, fill the bulb with WARM WATER all the way (bulb should come with product, squeeze really hard to fill up bulb), put the bulb tip in your ear as deep as you feel comfortable, and squirt it hard, fast, and intensely in your ear. ||| I put the bulb tip pretty deep as long as it didn't hurt. Think of the bulb like squirt gun. 6. Repeat squirting until all the wax comes out and you can hear again. ||| This took me 1-2 minutes of squirting. Some people said 10 minutes, some said 20 minutes, some said 1-5 minutes like me. [8] POST-Instructions: Congrats, you should now be able to hear properly now. You did well and should be free of the noise blockage in your ear canal. If you still have problems after all of this, you legitimately might have a larger concern in need of a doctor's visit. [9] TLDR: Accidentally oopsie and used a cotton swab, pushed wax in, freaked out for five days, eventually found out reviews had good instructions, I can hear now, yay!

Worked on one of us
It worked great on one of us. The first person who tried it, it bubbled properly and wax certainly came out. Even their hearing was better. My experience was certainly different. No bubbling at all and nothing came out. Now I feel like I still have liquid in my ear. Even 16 hours later. We used the same bottle and followed the same instructions. Not sure what happened.

Patience & persistence is key
I wanted to give an honest review of this product after trying different products without much luck. I honestly told myself that this was the last product I was going to purchase. I have never in my life had any ear infections or any problems with my ears. I was showering one day about 6 weeks ago when my ear got clogged. I thought it was because I had gotten water in my left ear and figured it would clear up on its own but a few days later, I still couldn’t hear out of my left ear. It was extremely frustrating to say the least. I think my family was getting tired of me saying what all the time. Also, having to turn the volume up on the tv was annoying too. I just wanted relief so bad. After trying swimmers ear drops and sea spray (recommended by my mom), I saw this product and thought why not. I was so excited to try this out and grabbed the package and ran upstairs and had my daughter put the drops in my ear. I read where everyone was saying to leave the drops in your ear for 30 minutes. I thought what?! That’s gonna take forever lol. I am NOT a patient person whatsoever so my dumb butt left them in for 5 minutes. Heck, I figured that was long enough haha. Well, I flushed my ear that same day because I wanted immediate relief. I didn’t realize that you should wait a couple/few days before you flush out your ear so you can give the product a chance to soften the ear wax. Okay, with all that being said, I used the drops in my left ear for 2 days for a few minutes at a time and on the third day, I didn’t use any drops at all and was afraid of getting an ear infection even though I didn’t have any ear pain so I left my ear alone. My ear felt squishy inside, like it was full of water. So on the 4th day, I put the drops in again and waited for about 7 minutes and flushed it again. Nothing happened. I STILL couldn’t hear out of my left ear. I honestly, at the time, figured I had wasted even more money on a worthless product. So a few days later, I went back to the reviews on this product and kept reading that so many people advised leaving the drops in for 30 minutes. I was so jealous of how many of you were so successful after using this product. I told my husband that morning, I’m going to try this again. I was bound and determined to be able to hear again! After my kids & husband left for the day, I laid down on my bed and put the drops in again and THIS time, I waited for the full 30 minutes. I got back on Amazon while I waited and read more of the reviews. I figured it was easier to get in the shower to flush out my ear rather than trying to flush it at the sink (and less messy). By now, I was super excited and had high hopes that I’d be able to hear again. After flushing my ear for about the umpteenth time, I still couldn’t hear. I wanted to sit down in the tub and cry. I then became mad and grabbed that ear bulb syringe and flushed like there was no tomorrow (even putting the bulb as far as it would go) and then FINALLY a huge ugly chunk of ear wax came shooting out and I could finally hear again!! Omg, I felt so much relief. I actually became very dizzy and had to lean up against the wall in the shower. My husband later said it was probably all the pressure built up in my ear. I anxiously texted my husband and told him that I could hear again!! I even called my mom and a friend later and told them! And it’s weird but once I got my hearing back in my left ear, my right ear felt blocked but it wasn’t. I can hear things that I couldn’t hear before. Even my parakeets chirping seemed so loud. The sound of water running seemed so much clearer. It’s like I have a brand new eardrum! I’m sorry that this review is lengthy. I just wanted to say that this product is amazing and definitely works extremely well. I didn’t want to show a pic of my earwax. Y’all know what earwax looks like lol and besides, that’s gross. My advice is to listen to what others say and to leave the drops in for 30 minutes (no less). Don’t be impatient like me. If you don’t have any luck, be persistent! I honestly didn’t think that this product was going to work but I’m here to say it provided me with my hearing back! I sincerely hope that my review is helpful to someone reading this. I can’t wait to do my other ear. I’ve also decided to stop putting Q-tips in my ear because all that does is push the earwax deeper into your ears. Lots of luck to you all!

Works, but not as well or as consistently as expected
This ear-wax removal solution does help loosen wax, but the results are inconsistent. Sometimes it works well enough, other times it barely makes a difference. 🔹 Helps soften wax, but requires patience The drops do create the fizzing/foaming effect that helps break down wax. For mild buildup, it can offer some relief — you may notice your ears feel a bit clearer after a few uses. 🔹 Not strong enough for tougher wax For anything more stubborn or compacted, the solution doesn’t seem powerful enough. Even after repeated treatments, there were times the wax barely moved or required additional cleaning methods afterward. 🔹 Simple to use, but messy Applying the drops is straightforward, but the process is a little messy. You’ll need tissues or a washcloth to catch the liquid, and you typically have to lie still for several minutes. Not difficult — just inconvenient. ✅ Pros: Helps soften and loosen light wax buildup Easy, gentle application Affordable and safe for routine use ❌ Cons: Not very effective for heavy or stubborn wax Requires multiple applications to see results Can be a bit messy and time-consuming Overall: Decent for mild wax buildup and occasional maintenance, but not a reliable solution for deeper or more stubborn blockages. Works well enough sometimes, just not consistently.

I’m writing this review the same day I used it for the first time. It works!
As stated in the title, I’m making this review on the same day I tried the product for the first time today. The whole process for me took about 45 minutes. I was just dealing with one ear ( right side). The symptoms I had probably lasted about a year, because it gradually came and went, and I didn’t think much about it because it would go away from months on end and then suddenly come back. and then finally up to a few days ago it just got worse and worse. It was to the point that if I just accidentally tapped my right ear , tilted my head down or to the side, or even if I just laughed or grinned my right ear would just get this stuffed/clogged sensation, if I woke up after sleeping in the morning, my right side of my ear would be very stuffed/clogged. Like someone put a perfect size object and stuffed it down my ear so I could only hear on one side. Of course I was freaking out because I’m only 36 and didn’t want to think I was losing my hearing. I would then have to for sometimes about 20-25 minutes ( it didn’t start out that long, but it gradually ended up that long) to fake induce yawn, chew, tug on different parts of my ear ( this “Tugging at my ear” was a habit that I did for a few weeks Before I bought debrox. if I tugged at my ear in the right spot that “clogged sensation” would stop and the feeling in my ear would be normal again at least for a time ), or even walk around to change different elevation and air pressure to unclog it. so, of course, I was freaking out. So for myself, I went straight to the debrox website for straightforward answers on 1. How long do we keep the product inside the ear. And 2. do we flush our ears with water each time we use the product or only when we are done with the four day period. Though the website says you keep the product inside your ear for just 5 to 10 minutes each time you use it, and up to 2x a day (up to 4 days if needed) and recommended NOT to flush out with water after each use, (unless you feel as though your ears are no longer clogged after the first use which In that case you would flush) they do however mention “drain” after each 5-10 minute use, which is not the same as flushing with water as for them it simply means tilting your head (over a sink or towel of course) to let the excess dissolved solution and dissolved loose earwax spill out(which doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be unclogged the first time while doing so) I think I put anywhere from 8 to 10 drops in when really I just wanted to get about six but at the beginning the drops came out pretty quickly. However, because I read a few reviews on here that said they waited up to 30 minutes before flushing ( Whether or not, they felt as though their ear was unclogged after 30 minutes and so they flushed or if it still felt clogged and flushed I’m not sure) but my experience was I left The solution in my ear for 30 minutes (really I think I could’ve stopped at 10 minutes because that’s when the itching/crackling/popping noises stopped for me, but I think we’ve all been following this “30 minutes trend“ due to insecurities and not having an official clear enough, detailed, specific step by step video demonstration. The one on YouTube is not that good. another way for me to look at it was I knew that if I needed to put in a second dosage later in the day anyway without using water, it wouldn’t really make a difference if I kept it longer than needed anyway. nevertheless, I too just went ahead and left it in for 30 minutes ( again, 30 mins may not have been necessary) So after my first usage of leaving the solution inside my ear for 30 minutes, my ear still felt clogged, but still, I went to a sink and first attempted to drain the excess without using water by simply tilting my head (per recommendation by the website) however nothing really came out because it was extra foamy, as the result I went ahead and just flushed it out with warm water using the rubber bulb. All you really need to do is put the tip of the bulb slightly in so the water can get inside the canal don’t overthink the flushing out part. Initially, after, I flushed my ear out with water, a few loose pieces of wax in my ear came out, but it still felt clogged (even more-so than before I put the debrox solution in due to the foam building up) of course although the reviews on here said also after their first usage, they too were clogged and needed a second or third treatment , still I (of course) started freaking out, immediately went back to Amazon to look for other products to physically scoop the wax out. However, after about 15 minutes from when I initially flushed out the solution, the symptoms went away immediately! Admittedly, due to my panic, after I flushed my ear with water, because I didn’t get the unclogged sensation immediately that I was expecting, and now feeling more clogged then before, I naturally tugged at my ear because again as stated above I would feel that if I pulled certain aspects of my ear even behind the ear against the neck, the “unclogged sensation” would return temporarily. But really, I think it’s because some of the solution was still in my ear and as I was just resting my head, whatever wax I had in my ear, went back to its normal levels due to the debrox solution going down the canal and breaking the wax down. It’s crazy it feels as clear as my left one. All the Symptoms I’ve had from above and have dealt with on and off for about a year are gone. Again, the whole process took about 45 minutes for me today. I know there are instructions on the side panel of the box that are a little more detailed ( not just like the ones we see in pictures here on Amazon ) but still I recommend going to the actual website at Debrox.com click on the “products” tab and then scroll all the way down to the different tabs like “Drop use FAQ” and “Ear Flushing FAQ”. To get a little more confidence and better understanding. Stay well and “Happy hearing” everyone!

PLEASE BE PATIENT!! (long review)
Okay, so, I’m going to start off by saying that I had put those sleeping earplugs in my ear for bed one day, and I supposed I shoved them in too deep which in turn pushed my earwax in DEEP, I could feel it against what i’m assuming was my eardrum. Obviously I panicked because I then couldn’t hear once I took out the plugs—like I lost maybe 80% of my hearing. Panicking and not thinking I thought maybe I could scrape out the wax with a qtip- DO NOT USE QTIPS EVER I BEG—because I felt it push the wax deeper. I’m a college student so I didn’t even think going to the ER was an option because I don’t have $100+ just to extract some wax, so I just looked up earwax removal kits and found this. I read the reviews and figured it would do. I read that some people got out huge clumps of wax on the first go so I was hopeful. I started the drops (AND PLEASE LISTEN AND LEAVE THEM IN FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES) and when i tilted my head in the sink barely anything came out and I still couldn’t hear— but I listened to the box and decided to not give up and just keep going for the next few days. Everytime I did the drops and then let it drip out over the sink barely anything would come out, even with the bulb wash. After 2 days it kinda worked but my ear felt full of water and hated it. I was beginning to lose hope until the 4th day when I put the drops in. I heard SO MUCH CRACKLING it was insane. Let it sit for 30, then I went and flushed my ear. All of a sudden, small chunks came out and boom, got my hearing back. It’s like i can hear in 4k quality now- it’s so good that my other ear that wasn’t an issue I now think I need to flush. PLEASE don’t give up if things don’t work right away the first few days, it will work!! ALSO: please do it 2 times a day. This product is amazing, will definitely buy again

WORKS!
So, I had accidentally pushed my earwax in by using a Q tip... I never learn I suppose. I hadn't done that since I was a little kid, and forgot how aggravating it was!!! THANK GOD! I found this, if I dint, I would've been so screwed. It fixed it immediately, it's easy to use/understand, it's small too. The directions are pretty straightforward which I appreciate. I used it twice back to back and it worked for me, yes it's not the exact instructions but it still worked. Cheap, effective, will use again.
