Easy assembly - good little cars
Bought to assist for my son’s science fair project. We put together a battery powered car and a solar powered. Pretty easy to assemble and cars worked great. Not a ton of instruction for all of the types of cars you can build with the kit.

Good kit to illustrate energy conversions
I bought this kit for my child's science class and would recommend the product. The models were straightforward to assemble (for me), but my 10 year old needed quite a bit of assistance in putting the pieces together. All models worked well, the size of the models made them easy to handle, there was variety in the models to help understand energy conversions from solar to electrical and electrical to motion, chemical energy to electrical, electrical to motion and wind to motion. The solar buggy also helped in illustrating how the drive mechanism in a car works. It was a lot of fun putting the models together. My child enjoyed playing with the models and learning about energy conversions.

Decent kit, not outstanding and for the price a little limited
Not bad for a solar kit, but for the price at least one should have had the feedback circuit to include a rechargeable battery.

Good
This was a fun protect! My daughter has been interested in solar panels for a love time now. She had a bit of a hard time with a few aspects but she is almost 5 years old. We helped with the project and were able to complete it with ease!

Everything works great
I wasn’t sure what to expect considering the mixed reviews, but I was really impressed. Everything worked great including the solar panel pieces. My children play with two that are battery operated, and while I do stress the importance of being careful with them, the car and plane have held up remarkably well. The instructions were very clear and we followed them carefully in assembly and we love the result. I would describe all of them as delicate, but I felt like they were a great educational tool and my children love them.

Requires very small fingers to assemble
These kits are great ideas for childrne to become more knowledgeable about STEM activities, but the very small nut and bolt configurations required to complete the assemblies makes it very difficult for adults to assist, and the kids have trouble with their size as well.

Powerful
I bought a few of these kits for school. They are very easy to build with exception of how tiny the screws are and getting them started. It will quickly frustrate impatient kids. The included screw drivers are a little magnetic, but not strong enough to adequately hold the screws. Also, the battery packs are interchangeable with the solar cells so you can easily switch them out for indoor/outdoor use. Just be careful with the “airplane”. The propeller is a little sharp and spins at a high rpm. The other propellers used on the wind mill and fan car don’t have this problem. The important thing for me was everything in the box worked and the directions, while not in depth were able to be followed.
