The perfect path or Driveway light
I must have tried at least 5 different types of solar path lights before ordering these. I absolutely love how they look (you can have two heights). Along my driveway. Easy to assemble, plant and then forget them! What sold me on these particular lights was the brightness of each light which had been a real problem for my long driveway. I had estimated needing 20 lights in total so that people backing down my long narrow driveway wouldn't run off into shrubbery or the fence. With the other lights I tried they just were not bright enough and although I loved the price point for the other lights I tried and sent back I would have had to use double my estimate. Finally after much thought and reading of reviews I ordered the Bobcat Solar Path Lights with 300 Lumens. To reduce my initial cost I settled for 3 packs of 4 lights each pack or 12 lights altogether, reasoning that if they worked I could always order more. To my utter delight 12 lights were all I needed! The lights have settings to be bright white, warm light or off. The setting I use which is the white light shines so well that more than 1/2 the driveway is light requiring only one side of the driveway to need the lighting. Guests have raved at how bright it makes the driveway at night and they feel much better about backing down the drive. They also love the way they look, which is beautiful. You don’t notice them between the briar bushes and they are tall enough to get full sun. I love them and wish I had bit the bullet on purchased them way sooner. Now I am looking for other ways I can use these and other Bobcat Solar lights around yard, they really are quite nice. Specifics: directions say to plant in full sun for 2 days to fully charged I did but honestly don’t think it was necessary for that length of time they charge super fast and the light stays on all night till it is fully daylight. The material is mostly plastic but durable. I do recommend that you plant the spike deeply then attach the rest of the light assembly to prevent bending or splitting the post while trying to shove it in the ground. I recommend these lights they are bright, good looking and really complement any landscaping!

Good quality solar path lights
I have had these in my yard for almost a year now and other than rainy cloudy days, they shine brightly at night. I recommend.

Good value so far
I have used solar landscape lights for the last 12 years and have purchased many sets from various vendors at a range of $$. These are new and I will update if anything changes. But so far, I’ve been using these for a few weeks and can say 1. They look very nice, particularly for the price. 2. They are bright, enough to help with safety on our stone pathway. 3. Of course setup is very straightforward, all pieces fit together snugly 4. The one concern I have is that it must be very very dark for them to come on. If my mid-brightness porch lights are on, the lights set up closer to it on our pathway will not come on. Of course in the Northern latitudes that would be desirable as it gets dark earlier and allows the lights to remain on later into the night, but in the South (where we are) that is not as important as it stays light later in the evenings. Anyway, overall a good buy and I am buying a couple more sets for our landscaping. Recommend these solar landscape lights.

Pretty good quality!
Bright, long lasting light! Fixture is stylish. So far, so good! Used to light the end of my driveway by street. Does a great job!

The 300 lumens is brighter than most of the solar lights offered.
Good design of the fixture for light and charging. Looks expensive highlighting our landscaping.

Don't hold a charge and two lights failed after 3 months
Attractive lights, but very disappointing performance. Lights are bright for only about four hours. When sun sets around 4:30pm they're already dimming by 8:30. By 10:00, when your friends are leaving your house they can barely see the pathway. This is sunny California where they get a full charge during the day. After 3 months of using, two of the lights no longer work at all. Wish I had returned before the window closed, but I was traveling and missed the cutoff.

Exactly what I've been looking for... almost perfect....
First off, these lights are nowhere near 300 lumens... but with that said, I've been looking for a light exactly like these... my gardens are special to me, I've spent around $120,000 on my landscaping and lighting. The last thing I want to do is install wired lighting and use energy from the electrical grid. I've bought a lot of different types of lights, and these are closest to what I'm looking for - I bought 28 of these lights. * No glare when you're sitting in your yard... we live in Flagstaff Arizona, the world's first international dark sky city, I can see the milky way... I don't want to see lights, but don't want to fall when walking around. * Easy to install, just stick in the ground using a hammer or mallet. * Since the lights shine straight down from a flat surface this helps with the glare. * The extension rods are great... you get 4 per box, so you can install the lights with 1, 2, or 3 if you want to light up larger areas... For example, you can mix and match installations with 1 rod, 2 rods, 3 rods if you're installing on a ramp or hilly area. Suggestions for the manufacturer, please listen! * Choice of warm/cool white is dumb, just have warm white... you don't want harsh 'cool white' * Please have 3 brightness levels, that would be awesome... instead of warm/cool switch * Make the bottom clear plastic completely flush with the housing, it still hangs down a little bit so you do get a tiny bit of side glare, I'd like it to be perfectly flush. * The square area could be 1/4 of the size with the same effect... smaller is better in this case. * For the light head, would be great to have two connection areas for the stakes... I would like to use these to install vertically to light up walls and plants. * I love that you have the extension rods... would be nice to include 6 instead of 4 per box Great product, just a tiny bit of refinement for perfection... and trust me, I've gone through about 8 different types of lights after looking at hundreds and hundreds of different models...

Updsted 11/25 - Battery goes bad, no replacements available.
The batteries fail in 2 to 3 years and they did not appear to be replaceable. I opened it up and they are glued in and they have no markings on them. They're two and a half inches long by three quarters of an inch wide and I can't find any that are similar. I don't mind if the batteries wear out but they should be replaceable and it should be easy to find a battery. These are not cheap lights. Update on 11/25. I did figure out how to replace the batteries even though they say you can't, I've added a picture of the inside of the unit along with the battery I used. I bought them on Amazon for about six or seven bucks a battery.
