Is this 2 air filters or one air filter?

i've ordered from this seller twice. you get 2 filters, each in a separate box as in the photo. they are shipped together. good price.

Specs on this product ad say it is 16" x 25". it measures twenty-nine not 25. my old aprilaire filter is 16 x 27-3/4. now what?

Thank you for your interest in our products. 16"x25" is a nominal size. The extra media on both ends help seal both ends of your air cleaner cabinet. It should still fit in your Aprilaire Air Cleaner. We hope this helps. Thank you.

Are the sizes 1 or 2 the quantity per pack, or is there actually 2 different sizes for the 413 filter?

There is a drop down menu for size 1 or 2. I figured out the answer after I asked the question. By switching to size 2 on the drop down menu and then reading the description, I figured out that size 2 is a 2-pack.

How frequently do I change them

Approximately every 6-9 months...sometimes longer. I usually check it at around 6 months & take it from there. I do use a cheap filter in my return air vent that I change monthly though because of the dogs hair.
