Wagner QuickStop Wagner Brake Z855 Drum Brake Shoe

I'm impressed with the quality of these Wagner shoes, I was a bit thrown back when I saw both right and left side were identical and marked with an r I thought it was packaged wrong because usually an r is for the right side and l is for the left side but both marked are made me think I'm going to have to send them back but when I looked at the brakes in the rear axle Chevy designed it that way identical where instead of both parking brake cables come in from the front they made it where one comes in from the front and the other comes in from the rear. So on the passenger side the parking brake mechanism is on the front of the axle and the driver side parking brake mechanism is on the rear of the axle.

They fit great and do not squeak!

Installed on our 2007 GMC Sierra - who still uses DRUM brakes???? Typical GM garbage. These seemed to mount easily as expected. Havent driven truck yet but will update if problems adjusting. (Want to switch entire system over to disc brakes - GM=joke)

Bought for a 2007 Silverado new body style. Exact same as the originals. Work perfect so far with no squealing. Definitely a bargain.

These shoes came with a new emergency brake lever and spring attached which made for a much easier installation. Wagner has an excellent brake component history and for a more reasonable price than OEM. These should outlast my 17 year old truck.

Price for this quality versus at a store = unbelievably great. The materials, machining, fit, everything was outstanding. Very happy customer! A nice bonus might be small sample tube of brake grease for the friction points - but no biggie, got that at parts store.

Finally a brake shoe set that actually works with an new emergency cable replacement. Went through 3 pairs before finding one that just worked! (Some man handeling.. but the E-brake is now working)

poor quality control thin brake pad. I have put 35,000 miles on my 2008 Silverado since buying it used with no idea when the brakes had last been replaced I bought these figuring it was time, but the quality is poor and the brake shoes on my truck with at least 35k miles on them are in better shape and have more pad thickness left than these do. This will probably be the last set of Wagner brakes I purchase, they used to be good quality but these are definitely not.
