Crappy product....the clear turns foggy.

Update: I'm afraid I'm having to downgrade my review of this after using the varnish for a second time. It seems to leave a white residue no matter what I do, which makes it difficult to recommend. I have taken to shaking the canister for 5 minutes prior to using the varnish, which should be enough to mix the matt pigment thoroughly with the rest of the varnish. However, even after doing this, I still find a white residue being left on my model. I will be looking for an alternative matt varnish that is more reliable.Easy to apply matt varnish that you can use without having to hook up the airbrush and clean it. Two words of warning: 1. Make sure you use this in a well ventilated space. 2. Make sure you shake the can vigorously for 4-5 minutes before using. On my first use I failed to do this and found that the matt pigment didn't mix thoroughly, resulting in white marks across my model.

i bought this to give a finish to my pyrography projects(wood burning/ engraving). It is absolutley rubbish, it left a white haze on everything I tried it on. I wanted a laquer finish.... do not buy this, I didn't bother with a refund/ return because i had used it. I imagine the matt effect is impossible so try a satin or gloss finish....... I will be just using furniture polish or wax in future.

This is definitely the worst varnish I have ever used.Like others have said, it leaves a white powdery finish over you're model and the only way to remove it is to respray with another type of varnish.I'm very surprised at this product being from Humbrol as in the past I've had good experience with the make. However, this varnish simply should not be for sale.I wouldn't recommend this. Be warned!!

This was a disasterAfter installing bike decals to my frame and hubs - upon reading reviews it seemed as if this was a safe lacquer to use -What a horrible Product - one squirt on the decals ruined them - melted the text and made the plastic curl up - leaving a white residue.Returning to amazon for a refund and this has ended up costing me a lot of money and time to remove and buy replacements .Horrible stuff - I can only imagine what this would do to finely painted things

Spent a very long time on painting and detailing my gunpla, and now it is white... This product seems to leave a white finish no matter what you do. I tried to shake the can longer (about 30-40 seconds), keep the spray further away fro the test piece (about 30cm away) and do short burst spray, all methods left a white finish on gunpla. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this.
