TKWide 32oz (w/ Twist Cap) - Black

I now only use this water bottle design by Klean Kanteen. I have been using HydraFlask water bottles which are great. Both Klean Kanteen and HydraFlask have excellent quality. The reason i now exclusively use Klean Kanteen TKWide top design is because I wanted an insulated stainless steel water bottle that has a plastic-free straw solution. I have normally drank from the mouth of my water bottle which works well if I am upright. The problem is that i want my water bottle next to my bed at night if I get thirty. The open mouth water bottle could spill if I try to drink from a lying down position. Also I gagged a few times so I simply sat up and took a drink. Well that was getting old so I wanted a straw mouth. With a straw mouth, I don't have to unscrew anything and I can drink easily while being horizontal and not spill. The problem with other stainless steel straw mouth water bottles is that there was a plastic straw. The main point to go stainless steel is to get away from plastic. And although there are claims that the BPA straw is safe, etc, I believe the plastic leeches chemicals into the water. Maybe the chemicals or nanoplastic particles are safe, who knows. What I do know is that my water taste better when it isn't in plastic and it is surely better for you. So I went searching for an insulated stainless steel water bottle that used a stainless steel straw that sits submerged in the water. And I found this innovative design from Klean Kanteen that uses stainless steel for the straw and connects to food safe silicone which is way cleaner than hard plastic. Thus I can drink water from a "clean" straw solution. And the added bonus is that the silicone nipple swivels under the twisting cap and is completely covered. Thus no dust or someone sneezing is getting to the piece I put my mouth on. This is way better than those pop up plastic straw solutions. And if I want to unscrew the cap and drink directly from the bottle, I can. I have options. The handle is strong. I don't feel it will break easily by just carrying the bottle by the handle. Please note that the cap is plastic so if the water bottle is not upright, the water can be touching the plastic cap. For my use, my bottle is upright 98% of the time. Maybe one day Klean Kanteen will make a stainless steel cap too and just eliminate the plastic. I realize that this type of cap will cost a lot more because of all the pieces that break down when cleaning the top. I am good with their current design. Bottomline, this is the BEST "Clean" Straw Insulated Stainless Steel bottle. I have the 20 oz and the 32 Oz. I will drink the 20oz pretty quickly but it is good for short trips to store and you want something more light weight than the 32 oz. I am a senior system design engineer so i appreciate a great design and Klean Kanteen did a great job with this style of bottle.

Such a great canteen! I love the twist cap lid - it makes it feel so much more sanitary when you bring this everywhere like I do. Very easy to clean, which is a plus! Keeps everything cold for a long time and considering how much I've dropped mine / compared to other brands I've used it has held up pretty darn good. Also, it doesn't have a lingering soapy taste once you clean it, which makes cleaning it much more pleasant. The handle can hook onto your backpack via a carabiner or a strap for portability - fits in my backpack pocket as well. Great quality for the price - I take this thing everywhere! I will be buying more for family and friends.

Needed a reliable daily water bottle and this hits the spot. The 32oz size is perfect, holds plenty of water so I'm not constantly refilling, but it's still easy to carry around. I really like the twist cap because it’s completely leakproof and super easy to drink from on the go. It keeps my water ice-cold all day long, and there’s no weird metallic taste at all. Really happy with it!

The bottle itself is great! Highly insulated and keeps things cold all day. HOWEVER, the lid sucks. The way it twists the straw down seems handy but it still leaks on its side. Also the straw that goes inside connects to a small rubber piece under the lid. This little rubber piece broke after only a few uses rendering the cap completely useless. I bought a replacement lid that just screws on and off. I miss the straw feature but it wasn’t worth it considering it’s durability and leaking.

It’s flawed. It does keep my drink cold though for a quite a while. However, my issues are with the straw, handle, and seal. Straw - the rubber nozzle, fun idea, but I had to cut the tip a little so it would actually eject after twisting. It was getting caught and I had to dig it out with my finger. Handle - quality metal handle, but it is noisy! It clanks against the metal bottle. So I had to tape it to muffle the noise. Seal - because of it the twist design. It’s not leak proof. Also if I leave my bottle in a hot car, the water pressure or something (not a scientist) causes liquid to pool up near the rubber straw and when you twist it open it tends to flick some water at your face. Fit - cumbersome and doesn’t fit typical cup holders. I think this will be the last Klean Kanteen I purchase.

I love that it is all stainless steel, even the straw! You have to take care screwing on the lid, one time mine leaked on its side so I always turn it upside to test it after I’ve filled it. No problem since then.

Ich wollte endlich eine Trinkflasche, mit der man sich nicht ständig schmutzig macht. Da wurde mir Klean Kanteen mit dem Dregverschluss und dem innenliegenden Strohhalm von einem Freund empfohlen. Und sie ist der Hammer. Ich verwende sie ständig beim Sport. Nie wieder eine andere Flasche.

Caked in stickers, used every single day and feel lost without it now, keeps water at a good temp being a flask as well, far easier to get through a lot of water with a straw - been far better hydrated because of this. The seal around the lid needs replacing and the website has the replacement needed but I've just been lazy to and stored it upright only when full - leaks very gradually and lightly on it's side otherwise but won't be the case with a new one.

received it today without a box, only in plastic but the condition is good. I love the color! :)
