Awesome pesto, good flavor, no fillers
I made a simple dish with this pesto, pasta, peas, and prosciutto. This pesto had great flavor that carried the dish wonderfully.

Delicious and versatile
This is good pesto. I like it because it has a robust fresh basil flavor. It is essentially a dense paste of basil preserved in olive oil with a few minor other flavors. It does not have cheese in it like most pesto, so it can be used to season other basil-heavy sauces in lieu of fresh basil. The garlic is not very strong, so I usually add more. It keeps in the fridge for quite a while after opening, so even though it is expensive, it goes a long way if kept closed and refrigerated once opened.

Very happy with this!
It's almost impossible to find a vegan pesto that also uses quality ingredients. Extra virgin olive oil should be the ONLY oil -- not inferior, cheap, inflammation-producing seed oils.When I tasted this straight from the jar I was sure it was a loser; it tasted mostly of salt. But when I mixed it in with konjac pasta and gently heated it, I was sold. The only other pesto I've seen that fits my standards is Seggiano Fresh Basil Pesto (available from Whole Foods), but I don't like it nearly as much.

Best ingeredients
When I want pesto, I want real pesto made from basil, olive oil, pine nuts, and parmesan cheese. This had the best ingredients list I have found locally or online. I liked the taste, too, but it was on the salty side. Don't salt anything you are using this pesto on or it may be too salty. I doubt most people would consider it too salty (if they don't add more salt). I don't tend to like things that taste very salty. If this was a little cheaper, I'd buy it constantly and use it at least weekly. Since it is pricier than most other pestos I only use it sometimes and I tend to use it more sparingly.

The only Pesto I buy
I have been using this Pesto for about a year and it enhances every recipe that I use it for. It is a bit more expensive than others but you absolutely get what you pay for. I have a soup recipe that I use it in and everyone loves the soup. I shared the recipe with a friend who used a different brand. She told me that I must have given her the wrong recipe because it wasn't good. Nope - you used the wrong Pesto.I highly recommend this.

Best healthy pesto in the world.
High EVOO content (in lieu of a cheap blend) combined with pine nuts (in lieu of inferior cashews) brings out the best in the basil. Addictive.

Ich bin kein Freund von Trends und muss Italo-, Sushi-, Orient- oder sonstige Lebensmittelmoden, die gerade en vogue sind, nicht immer mitmachen. Keine Frage: Oft sind wirklich tolle Sachen dabei, aber noch häufiger wird um diese oder jene Zutat ein unverständlicher Zinnober veranstaltet.Das ROI Pesto allerdings habe ich vor Jahren kennen und lieben gelernt. Dann wurde es beim Händler durch ein anderes, nicht wesentlich billigeres, aber erheblich öderes Pesto ersetzt.Wer auf den üblichen Zusatz von Pinienkernen oder Parmesan verzichten kann (die meist nicht der Geschmacksverbesserung sondern der "Streckung" dienen) findet hier ein Lebensmittel, das sich auf geröstetem Brot oder Nudeln hervorragend macht.Muss man nicht jeden Tag essen, aber kann man.
