Excellent, reliable, easy to use, easy to service faucet with good flow rate.
We installed this faucet in 2011 to replace another much more expensive model from a different manufacturer we had installed when we did a remodel in 2005. The Kohler Forte, while not as cool looking as our previous faucet. has worked out much much better. The previous one had issues with its pull out faucet head and was harder to switch between spray and regular flow. Also the previous one had a much lower flow rate due to its fancy design. The Kohler Forte was still not as fast a flow rate as a "regular" faucet (we had one before our remodel) since it has a hose through which all the water flows, but the flow rate is significantly more than our previous fancy model. We notice flow rate a lot as we refill many gallon jugs of water every week. The Kohler Forte faucet has been very dependable and reliable for us with very smooth action. Over the years the faucet had become harder and harder to turn side to side. In 2020 thanks to Kohler's well done maintenance video "KOHLER Forte Pull-Out Kitchen Sink Faucet O-Ring and Bearing Replacement", we were able to see how to service the faucet bearing. The problem really turned out to be that over a long period water gets into the area where the faucet turns and can leave mineral deposits behind. So we did not need to replace the bearing or o-ring but simply clean off the mineral deposits from the inside of the faucet and bearing, lube the bearing with silicone plumbing grease, reinstall the existing bearing and o-ring, and voila -- the faucet turns side to side easily again. We are very happy with this faucet, its reliability, and its ease of use -- especially being able to turn the faucet on and off with a forearm or elbow if our hands are messy or we want to avoid cross contamination. One other note is that this faucet is much easier to install as you just need normal tools and not a special basin wrench (which can also be a pain to use).

KOHLER HITS HOME RUN WITH SINGLE CONTROL PULL OUT FAUCET
I came to Amazon cause the plumbing supply house did not have it in stock and their price was too high. As usual I am very please doing business with Amazon. The product, a sleek, single handle, stainless steel kitchen faucet is a smart looking accent in my new kitchen. The pull out nozzle design is easy to use, and I really did not want the oversize pot filler style shown elsewhere. This works as advertised. My contractor had me worried when he first saw the many parts in the box but everything was there and installation went smoothly. I chose this for its similar design to the Kohler Addison in both my bathroom sinks. All really good choices high end and functionally what I needed. My wife has fine motor issues and we are very happy. The comments about low pressure is not a problem. If you want your 40 yr old squeaky crapy faucet with separate hot and cold handles and peeling finish and the matching porcelain sink you have now, stop shopping. If not, go with Kohler and only buy with Amazon. Win-Win.

Nice looking faucet with good features, but has a problem ( which is now basically solved).
UPDATE: 1/26/2021 In my review below, I recommended using two weights, instead of one weight, so the spray head will click into place better. That definitely helps. However, yesterday we added one more weight, and it is even better. So with a total of three weights, the spray head clicks right into place with a strong hold and doesn’t fall out anymore at all. I am now very happy with my faucet! I like this faucet, and it is nice looking. The main reason we bought this faucet is that it has a toggle where you can set it to spray or stream as you wish. That way, if you have it set to spray, when you turn the faucet off and then back on again, it will stay on the spray function. It is almost impossible to find a faucet that will do this anymore. Most other faucets will revert back to stream every time you turn it off and then back on again, and I hate that. The one big problem this faucet has (as also seen in many other reviews), is that the spray handle doesn't fully and securely click back into place after using it. This makes it fall out easy by just touching it. This is extremely annoying! Plus, it doesn't look good when it's not seated correctly. I called Kohler about this problem shortly after the faucet was installed, and they sent me a new plastic faucet insert to try. That didn't do a thing. Plus, the old insert was almost impossible to remove and broke as my husband was removing it. Well, over a year has now gone by, and the problem just keeps getting worse. So, I called Kohler again. This time the gentleman said he would send me an additional hose weight to see if that helps. It came today, and it isn't the type that opens to install around the hose. The faucet has to be uninstalled in order to put the weight on. As my husband was spending a lot of time uninstalling the faucet, I called Kohler to find out if there was a simpler way. The very nice customer service lady I talked with told me that the only way to put the weight on the hose was to uninstall the faucet. However, she said that her husband didn't want to uninstall their faucet, so he just attached the weight to the hose with a zip tie. I am so glad she suggested that! I wish we would have thought of that in the first place and saved ourselves a couple hours of work. My husband stopped the disassembling process, put the faucet back together, and attached the weight to the hose with a zip tie - so much easier! He actually used three zip ties, because the weight fell off with only one zip tie. Now, the spray handle sits much better and doesn't fall out as easily - problem solved! It is not perfect, but is MUCH better. So, using two hose weights instead of one really helps with the problem. If you decide to use two weights, instead of asking Kohler to send you one of their weights that require the faucet to be uninstalled, I would highly suggest that you spend around $12.00 and get a weight that opens up and clamps around the hose. ...or you can do what we did with the zip ties. One other note - the Kohler customer service reps I have spoken with have all been very nice and helpful.

Performance, quality, and beauty in one
We've owned this set for over a year and could not be more pleased with it. We installed it as part of a partial renovation: New granite counters, stainless sink, and this faucet set. We chose it for the single penetration and simple, single-handle function. The installation was easy and painless. Things we really like about this product: 1. The finish is beautiful and, most importantly, cleans easily and without degradation. It looks today like it looked in the package. 2. The spray and stream options perform well without using much water. The aerated option is great for rinsing large areas, and the spray option exerts good pressure for cleaning and rinsing out the sink. 3. The handle operates easily with one hand and smoothly moves from cold to hot and anywhere in between. 4. The rise is high, so it's easy to get big pots under the spout. Of course, the head pulls out on a long, sturdy tether to go anywhere. It swivels nicely and never binds, and the weight pulls it back into the stalk smoothly and easily. The only minor quibble is the switch to change from spray to stream: It is a little stiff and doesn't always fully switch without another push. Also, the stalk range of motion (swiveling left to right) is slightly limited, but doesn't cause us any problems. We would absolutely buy this set again and recommend it without reservation to anyone considering it.

Great start - lousy ending after less than 2 years
My current home came with the same Faucet but the arm was stuck and would no longer move to left or right and the water stream switch didn't work anymore and was stuck kind of in between positions. I bought the same model again - as I very much like the top control and how far it comes out for the large double sink I have. Installation was easy and it worked great for a while. After about a year moving it left or right became harder and harder but still kind of worked. Then the sprayer would no longer fully go back into the faucet - the black plastic ring inside the faucet seemed to have shifted and prevented full insertion. The last straw that broke the camels back was the swivel head leaking at the swivel mechanism. I attempted to just replace the house but the hose connector under the sink won't disconnect no matter how hard I tried. So less than 2 years in it was a worthless faucet - just like the one that was already in the house when I bought it. I didn't want to try again so I switched to a Moen that I just installed. Interestingly there the hose connector is much easier to disconnection should there be a problem in the future and also the base ring of the faucet seem to be easier to keep clean so the left/right movement will not seize... I'll write a review about the new one in a while when I am comfortable with it. My recommendation: Avoid this model - it won't last.

This faucet is below Kohler's standards
I bought this faucet in July 2009 and now about 16 months later, I have to say that I probably wouldn't buy it again. The two things that have gotten on my nerves: - The spray head has a slider switch to switch between spray and spigot. The thing is so hard to operate and get to move all the way into one mode or the other, that you need to push with all your effort and even then, sometimes you end up with dribbling coming out of the spray nozzles when you want the spigot. This is annoying when you're filling up a jar or something with a narrow opening and the spray nozzles dribble all over the outside of the thing you're trying to fill. I called Kohler about 14 months after I bought it and the woman was very nice and sent out a new spray head (arrived about 3 days later) and sure enough, within a week, I was back in the same spot with the hard to operate switch - The control handle is loose on the valve mechanism. Yes, I'm sure taking the plug out of the back and tightening down the screw will fix it, but I've done that with all my other lousy faucets and it only lasts a few weeks and they loosen back up. I expected better from Kohler. Aside from those two complaints, this was a joy to install; it comes with the braided supply hoses already attached and you basically just drop it through the hole on your counter and with two screws, it tightens against the counter. No need for a basin wrench or any other difficult wrangling. It looks good and the dull finish means that I can clean off the water spots without worrying about scratching it. You will end up with a little bit of crud at the base of the control handle since there's a recess there for the water to sit and dry, but I don't know too many single handle faucets that don't have areas for water to leave mineral deposits. It certainly wasn't a "cheap" faucet, so for that reason I wouldn't buy it again. I'd expect this poor manufacturing quality from a faucet half the price.

Quality look and feel, easy to install
We purchased this faucet in the brushed nickel finish for our new Kohler sink in our remodeled kitchen. I was surprised at how quickly and easily we installed it with no issues. It is a quality faucet at a reasonable price. The sprayer is great and we have not had any trouble with leaking or dripping that others have mentioned. The water pressure is perfect. My only issue is getting used to the high profile, since my old cheap faucet was so low and close to the sink. We love that the button to switch from stream to spray is heavy duty plastic and not rubber, since the rubber always deteriorates over time, even on the super expensive models. Overall, I love the look, feel, functionality, and style and would definitely purchase this faucet again.

Premature failure wouldn’t swivel.
Decent, height and reach. Felt like it didn’t last as long as it should have. Bought it back in September 2017 didn’t really start using it till April 2018. Now, December 2023 had trouble moving it left to right. When trying to straighten it, it ended up snapping the plastic shaft inside. That piece is not replaceable. Maybe why they discontinued it. What end up happening was over the years of soap scum and water getting in the housing, the housing starting to corrode and swell. That caused the plastic bushing on the top to seize up, and not allow the faucet swivel. After the fact I googled it and it shows how to take apart, clean and lube. The other issues of the button getting stuck, was easily fixed by soaking in vinegar because of the hard water in our area.

Great product and huge savings
Kohler makes a great faucet and it fits in beautifully with our new granite counter top. It is an attractive faucet and very functional. The best part is that I saved $80.00 over the lowest price I could find at local stores including Home Depot. The delivery was promised for 7 days but arrived in a day and half from the order date. Very Satisfied.

Great faucet. I love how it doesn't default back ...
Great faucet. I love how it doesn't default back to single-stream, that you can keep it on spray - depending on where you leave the switch set to.

It looks great in the kitchen
The kitchen sink faucet arrived on time and was exactly as expected. My plumber installed the faucet without any difficulty. It looks great in the kitchen. I purchased a Kohler product in this instance because I have 2 other Kohler bathroom sink taps which I have had for several years. The finish on the bathroom taps is in a shiny brass which looks as good today as when they were purchased. The finish was one of the main reasons for the purchase of the Kohler kitchen faucet.
