In the description it states that it can store up to 32 fingerprints. Is there a biometric device on the vault? I don't see one on the images.

I'd say that was some kind of typo. Vault uses pin codes, not fingerprints. That said, it has worked great for my uses. Easy to use and pretty well made and secure. I am very happy with this purchase.

I have 2 questions: 1) Interior dimensions of the lowest door area? Need to fit hanging files 2) does the top drop slot fall into middle door area?

the top and bottom of the safes are independent. they are NOT connected. they are like 2 safes on top of each other. Whatever is dropped in the top safe, through the drop slot, DOES NOT land on the bottom safe.
