I bought this as a gift for my son. As he is always losing things, I didn't want to invest a huge amount of money in a speaker for him. What I wasn't expecting, was the very high quality of the Soundcore3. It's a wonderful little bit of kit. The sound quality and volume is impressive for the price. It is rubber coated so it's quite durable, and the battery life is equally impressive. Three years on, he's still using it daily. I would highly recommend this for a budget friendly speaker for travelling, or just to use around the house.

The battery life is impressive – I easily get around 24 hours of playtime on a single charge, which makes it great for taking on trips or using outdoors. I got this speaker because I'm a bit of an Anker loyalist, and because of my good experience with my previous Soundcore speaker (1st gen). The Soundcore 3 takes everything good about its predecessor and improves upon it. Primarily in terms of volume, clarity and bass output. While no one is going to mistake this for pedestal-mounted 15" drivers, for its size, it definitely puts out clear, distortion-free mids and highs and surprisingly punchy bass. It's compact enough to fit in a backpack. And with the rubberised casing and metal grill, it's very durable and can easily survive a quick dunk in a pool or in the rain without lasting ill effects. The Soundcore app makes assigning custom or preset equaliser as easy as can be expected. Being able to power off the speaker from the phone app is a nice touch. Oh! and you can have two Soundcores pumping out the same music by linking up a parent and child device to a single bluetooth source to fill a large room with sound. Nice feature that. There's a reason I tend to favour Anker products.
