Q: how is this mailed? does it get smashed?

Dear Kathy, these are mailed our in a standard shipping box, but big enough for the dimensions of the hat, it ships with a cardboard hat ring to allow the hat to keep its shape upon delivery.

Q: Can this hat be worn with the rim completely down, kinda like a ..."bucket" hat ? Basically it looks like a cone when you wear it that way, thanks!

It can be worn down but I don't think it would be like a "bucket hat"...the rim would stay perpendicular
