When these chalkboard labels first arrived, I was skeptical that they would work. They are entirely wood, whereas I was expecting a slate of some sort. I thought that I wouldn't be able to wash chalk off of the wood. However, I did notice that they are very nicely constructed and painted--a very good quality. They even come with two sides you can write on and with string to hang them from. I was expecting that the chalk would not come off very easily. However, I tried three different types of chalk and they all came off. The bar chalk came off entirely. The first liquid chalk I used didn't really come out well--I think the wood absorbed too much of the paint to make it very visible. However, the second chalk pen I used was very visible. The second chalk paint pen didn't come off as well as the other two, but with a little elbow grease, it came off. If it had been on longer, I do wonder if it would be harder to get off. One of the tips I got for removing liquid chalk is that you have to "prime" the surface by using regular solid chalk all over the surface then wiping that away. These were sent to me for free to review and I'm looking forward to using them at our upcoming birthday party!

..it still worked, but it was a one try on each side of the board (unless I had decided to get chalkboard paint and repaint to boards black). I made them work, they looked great (I used them as name placers for my wedding ceremony seating chart) they hung great on the chairs, BUT THEY AREN’T CHALKBOARD, if it is it’s one coat that’s soaked into the wood. My markers caught on the wood fibers, and if I messed up the chalkboard marker paint was soaked into the wood and dyed. I use these chalkboards for my raised bed garden boxes. They are perfect for me, they last one season which I'm fine with and they have holes so I can screw them right on. Where I live if I get one season out of anything I'm excited. So I totally dig these!

Wedding seating for social bubbles. Nice personal touch. Nice that it had string already applied.

Die Produktfotos sind sehr schön und versprechen leider mehr, als man bekommt. die Holzplatten sind ok verarbeitet, die Schreibfläche sieht aus wie mit schwarzem Edding angemalt und gut. ob man darauf wiederholt mit Kreide schreiben kann, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen. habe Artikel zurück geschickt. der Kundenservice war sehr freundlich!
