Very well made, the screen size is good. Easy to grip handle, and it is not flimsy. Very good for those smaller jobs like straining seeds from a juicer.

I’ve been using the OXO Good Grips 6-inch Double Rod Strainer for several months now, and it has become an indispensable tool in my kitchen. Whether I’m rinsing quinoa, straining homemade sauces, or sifting flour, this strainer handles it all with ease. Pros: • Fine Mesh: The fine mesh is perfect for straining small grains like quinoa and rice without any loss. It also works well for sifting dry ingredients. • Sturdy Construction: The double rod design provides excellent stability, and the stainless steel construction feels durable and long-lasting. • Comfortable Handle: The soft, non-slip handle offers a secure grip, even when wet, making it comfortable to use during extended cooking sessions. • Easy to Clean: It’s dishwasher safe, and even when washing by hand, food particles rinse off easily without getting stuck in the mesh. Cons: • Size Limitation: While the 6-inch size is perfect for small to medium tasks, it might be a bit small for larger quantities. For bigger batches, I might consider the 8-inch version. Frustrated with trying to wash small grains using my colander lined with cheesecloth, I ordered this mesh strainer. To my delight, this strainer exceeds my expectations! I decided on the 6-inch size because I wanted to be able to scoop up spaetzle from boiling water, or skim the solids and foam that rise to the top of my broth. For these duties, the 6-inch size is perfect. It fits into my 3-quart saucepan with enough room to swirl it around to catch the goodies. It's pretty deep, too, holding two cups of grain. In fact, if you need exactly two cups of grain, you could simply pour the grain straight into this strainer, up to the bottom of the steel rim. No need for a measuring cup! After washing the strainer, I recommend hanging or standing it upright to dry. At first, I laid it flat on my drying rack, but the mesh didn't want to drain out very quickly. When I stood it up, the mesh drained out immediately. All stainless steel will rust if it's left wet for long enough, so make sure the mesh is dry before storing it. As for storing this, know that it's a fairly large strainer, measuring 14 inches long and (of course) 6 inches across. I simply lay mine across my colander. Perfect solution for my small kitchen. Cleaning this strainer could be a challenge if it becomes covered in batter or other thick, sticky ingredients (like cooked pasta.) Remember to soak items in COLD water before washing and that will help break the protein bonds. I used my potato scrubber to clean this strainer after a messy job. The mesh is so sturdy that it will stand up to real scrubbing! One of my favorite things about this strainer is that it feels balanced when full. It doesn't have a tendency to tip over on its side in your hand like some other strainers do. Maybe that is because of the double rod construction, or perhaps it is the flatter handle grip (not round like the wooden ones.) Whatever the reason, it is a joy to use. I like this strainer so much I may add the 8-inch version to my collection. Highly recommend!

Good quality. The handle seems sturdy and able to withstand straining items that require some pressure to get all liquids out. I like the silicone handle and design. Overall the size is exactly what I was looking for and is easy to use.

I needed a strainer for quinoa. I looked through my pantry and discovered that all my colanders were OXO. Hadn't even realized that was the brand, but I can honestly say they have all held up well; I have had several of them for years. The decision to purchase this OXO strainer for my quinoa was a no brainer. I just used it for straining a new batch of quinoa and it worked as advertised. Not a single quinoa seed went through this fine mesh. I highly recommend this strainer.

I had purchased another similar product but after a year the handle detached from the strainer. This one seems very sturdy and hopefully will last longer than a year.

This is an all-purpose 'workhorse' tool in our kitchen. It's small, of course, but so handy, from things like sprinkling a small amount of icing sugar over a dessert, or sifting a few tablespoons of cocoa for a cookie recipe, rinsing out the Bodum coffee dregs (that fit if we just made 2 cups) or last bit of fruit from the kombucha dregs, emptying the last of a small pickle or olive jar, etc. The handle is easier to grasp.than a metal-only one; it's just easier to keep a grip on. Ours is about 2.5 years old, as of this writing. It's been hand-washed only, and air-dried generally, and there are zero signs of any rust or breakage developing. This kitchen tool's design and construction are solid, and it looks like it will last a very long time yet. Lots of attributes, which mean it's good value. I don't give many 5-star reviews out these days, so it's a pleasure to recommend this small strainer as excellent: It's the best of several other types and qualities of construction I've owned or used in others' kitchens in the past.

Strains quinoa perfectly, without losing a single grain. Works a treat for rice and porridge as well. Super easy to clean too and dries very quickly.

I always buy OXO kitchen tools. This 6 inch sieve works well. Good product.
