Awesome iron
This is by far one of my favorite and most used and versatile soldiering irons I own. I run it off an 18v tool battery and it works amazing. Heats extremely fast and works flawlessly. Price is amazing highly recommend this iron!

This baby works great!!
This is a great soldering iron, especially if you want to make your own portable station like I did, works great and at a fair price. All you need is to make your own adapter and very little wiring plus any battery, would but again

These soldering irons are fantastic
I mate these soldering stations up with a 18 volt Milwaukee battery and they make fantastic portable soldering stations. They heat up very quickly and are very durable. Love these for all my electrical soldering needs.

Worth the money for sure.
Like many others I made this into a portable soldering station. Since the operating voltage is between 16-24v any battery accompanied by an adapter will work. You will also need a 5.5mm*2.1 power plug. This thing heats up super quick and hasn't had any issues with soldering up to 12 gauge wire so far. I cannot speak to its longevity yet but will update later.IMO it's worth trying. For roughly a $50 investment you could make you're own portable soldering station.
