Aesthetically, product looks great, arrived with missing key on keyboard
I just received product yesterday and it really is a nice looking case. I was super excited to receive it however was disappointed to see that a key was missing from keyboard. Ironically, the seller's office is only 10 minutes from where I live so I should be able to have this replaced quickly if I drive over there and pick up in person.I spoke to someone named Carlos at "Crazyondigital" and it sounded like exchanging should be easy - I'll update my review once I have item replaced and use it for a couple of weeks.SEPTEMBER 2, 2013 - UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEWThis is an update to my previous review - I was able to drive over to "Crazyondigital" and exchange the case with no questions asked. I have been using it for the past 4 days now and absolutely LOVE this case and keyboard. It took a couple of times to pair the keyboard but now it works like charm and really makes my Nook HD+ more functional than ever! Now that Barnes and Noble opened up their Nook HD tablets completely to Google's Play Store, this case/keyboard turns it into a multipurpose tablet (almost like a netbook). It makes all the difference in the world when typing emails or a editing a Word document, you'll love it!PROS: Elegant two-tone design, professional look Built-in stand, very sturdy Compact keyboard - easy to add to case or remove if you're not using Battery life on keyboard, pretty good - charge it a couple times a week depending on usageCONS: With keyboard, case get a little thick - not a deal breaker though - still looks great! No removal battery on keyboard - wonder if keyboard must be disposed of once battery dies out?? Would be nice to have more color choices - but still, black/tan design is very nice looking/elegant Would be nice to have a "touch-pad' mouse on keyboard - you still have to touch the screen for many functions/actionsAll in all - I give this case a 4.5 star only because of missing "touch-pad" mouse and removable battery on keyboard.I'd be bummed if I can't replace the battery and would need to buy another case just to get the same keyboard.I would definitely still recommend this product though - for the price it is a heck of a value and it does what it's supposed to do - make your Nook HD+ even more fun to use like a full-blown media consumption Android device and multipurpose tablet.

Now Works in Nook Mode and Android Mode
Updated 4/2/2013: On a hunch, I unpaired the keyboard from the Nook in Android mode (see below). When I paired it again, the Android OS not only paired with it, but connected so that in the Language and Input section of Settings, the keyboard was listed as the default input. I am now able to type into text fields in the Android mode as well as the regular Nook mode. I have raised my rating to 4 stars. The keyboard is small and it takes some getting used to. The space bar needs a firm tap. Still, I can recommend this keyboard/case combo as an excellent addition to the Nook HD+.Original Review:Based on a couple of user reviews posted in February that said, or led me to believe, the keyboard worked with the N2A Android SD card mode, I bought the keyboard. Unfortunately, at least for me, that is not true. The keyboard pairs with the HD+ in Android mode and is recognized. However, the keyboard does not display in the Language and Input settings so it can be selected. I wished those reviewers had explained how they got the keyboard to work in the N2A Android mode. I sure can't. I will note that another reviewer questioned whether the keyboard would work in the "rooted" mode. However, the keyboard does work in the regular Nook mode, quite well in fact. It took two tries to get it paired and recognized, but after that it connects and works fine. The fact that the keyboard does not work with the N2A Android mode is most likely a problem with the OS and not the keyboard. The N2A Cards forums were little help. One mentioned a third-party app called Null Keyboard. It did allow the keyboard to be selected as the default input method, but it still would not let me type anything from the keyboard.Out of date now: If the keyboard worked with N2A Android mode I would rate it higher, but since it does not, its use is very limited to me. I prefer to work in the Android mode rather than the Nook mode.

Decent Keyboard For the Money
Ease of Connectivity:First and foremost, this was extremely easy to get connected to my Nook HD+. Just went into the wireless settings and it paired. The downside is that if you turn the keyboard off at any point, you will need to go back to wireless settings on the Nook and turn the bluetooth off and back on. Only takes a couple seconds. *****Typing:Obviously the keyboard is small, so it takes some getting used to for typing. It's like typing on a netbook. The positives are it's very convenient to have it. The cons are that it sometimes does not keep up with my typing speed. This keyboard is more for light word processing/editing and web surfing. If you have patience for this, then it is a great tool. I didn't expect it to perform like a full computer, but I am pleased with how well it does perform ****Case:It has a magnet in it which puts the nook in a power saver mode when you close the cover. This hasn't interfered when I've had it open thus far. I like that the keyboard is removable. The cover conveniently shrinks down to a standard size folio cover when you take it out for more portability with maximum protection. I am very pleased with how compact it still is with and without the keyboard. The whole thing even fits in my purse. The fold out leather stand is nice to use to stand the nook up if I want to with or without the keyboard *****Overall:My review is 4 stars because of the lag in the keyboard. I love the case and at the price, this cannot be beat for the option to turn this into a netbook-esque experience.Shipping:Shipping depends on who you buy the item from. There is Amazon selling things for people, and there are also people selling out of their home. Shipping will depend on that. I recieved my item in less than two full business days.
