5 Watt LED Equivalent 40 Watt
Two 5watt appliance LED bulbs shipped next day (with amazon prime). Packaging was just an outer bag with the bulbs inside a clear plastic bag; however, delivered with no damage. Initially I found no markings on the glass bulb or the bulb base to indicate type or usage. However, using a magnifying glass I found markings on the bulb base indicating watts, lumens, volts, and non-dimmable, as ordered. With the frosted glass you can not see the internals; however, with low 5watt indicated one can assume LED type bulb. We are using this appliance bulb in an oven range "hood" not in the oven. The 5watt LED / 40 watt incandescent equivalent seems bright enough over the oven range (hood fixture can handle 60watt). Did not give 5 star rating because recently installed and no way to know endurance or life span. However, I strongly suspect the LED bulbs will last much longer than any incandescent bulbs and consume less power. Also, should operate somewhat cooler. Time will tell. Very fair price.

Night light
You have to use an appliance bulb over the range hood because of the heat from the stove, but I also use it as my night light

Nice! This LED appliance bulb replacement not only saves energy vs. the OEM incandescent bulbs, their daylight color temperature gives my wife the impression that she's sifting through racks of spoiled leftovers in a "brand new" refrigerator. We'll get a new one someday girl, if I ever find a job.
