Strong magnet, will pick up small wrenches. Might have to wrap the sides with electrical tape if your having problems with it sticking to everything but what your trying to grab.

Very easy to use, sturdy, but flexible.

Does a very good job of getting into tight spaces. Magnet not quite as strong as my buddy's Snap-On version but it does just fine.

Great tool for any mechanic or at home if you need to recover something in tight places. It's bendable and stays rigid a d doesn't feel like it will break. A must have.

I was disconnecting my car battery and the socket from my wrench fell off into the abyss of my engine bay. Aargh!! It completely disappeared and I had no idea where it was. Panic!! What should I do? I was scared to drive my car, worried that the socket would fly up when I drove over a bump and get caught up in my engine and cause irreparable damage. I googled the problem thinking that at least one other person on the planet would have been stupid enough to lose their socket in their engine bay. Surprisingly, I found that this even happens to actual mechanics... and they use one of these magnetic tools to fish out the things they've dropped. I decided on this particular model based on the good reviews. When it arrived, it seemed too short and small to be of any help and I had no hope whatsoever that this tool would yield any results. I thought I should at least try and I half-heartedly fished around the bottom of my engine bay with it, not knowing where the socket was and not being able to see if I was even anywhere near it. After a minute, I decided it was pointless and lifted the tool out of the engine and....OMG!!! The socket was stuck to the end of the magnet!! This tool works like magic. It's worth every penny. So relieved I can drive my car again!

This magnet saved the day! I normally don't write reviews, but today is an exception. Part of the dipstick broke off inside my car engine leaving a 3.25" strip of metal at the bottom of my oil pan. My options were to either leave it (and hope nothing happens), see if I could fish it out with a tethered magnet like this one, or lift the engine to drop the oil pan to find it. The beauty of this magnet is that it's attached to a copper rod which is bendable allowing you to get into areas otherwise not accessible. After some tries the end of my broken dipstick came out of the drain plug hole in my oil pan.

This magnetic pickup is super flexible. The overall design is made to get into difficult positions. Thus the magnet itself is small, but has decent power, and the super flexible rod will probably not last forever. That said if you need something that can do what this does this is the perfect tool. I am glad it now is a part of my kit. Given that I won't need to resort to this fine tool most of the time it should last a long time. Not cheap junk. Jay

No mide las 25", llega hasta las 24 3/8". La punta mide 5/16" y sostiene una matraca de 1/2 sin problema!!! :) Yo creo que la 1/2" que le falta no le resta méritos a la herramienta... Seguro sirve para rescatar muchas piezas pequeñas (que es lo que suele extraviarse)... Muy recomendable!

Very useful , saved me many times when losing a bolt , nut or socket when working on an engine

I could not even see where a nut has gone inside the engine side of the car. Tried a lot of things nothing worked. But this worked like charm with a bit of patience and trial and error.

Strong magnet and small so if you drop that 10mm in the engine bay you might be able to recover it.
