What could be better than one Hayley Mills? How about two? Academy Award-winning actress Hayley Mills (POLLYANNA) shines again, this time playing twin daughters of a divorced couple. After discovering they are long-lost twin sisters, the two concoct an outrageous scheme to switch places in an effort to get their parents back together. Direction: David Swift Actors: Brian Keith, Hayley Mills, Maureen O'Hara Special Features: Full Frame Format. Language: English Runtime: 129 minutes Review: Good Family Movies - The original 'The Parent Trap' is one of my all-time favorite movies; I could watch it over and over and never get tired of it. It is just a beautiful, and special, movie that carries you away to another time and place. 'The Parent Trap 2' doesn't quite reach the pinnacle of the first, but it has its own special quality about it. It is a somewhat enjoyable movie, with a couple of cringy moments (nothing too major), and is a little 'dated' (not b/c it's an 80s movie per sé, but b/c of a few things that, I believe, were, intentionally, added to try to make it appear "modern" at the time, probably in order to contrast with/update from the original). It is, basically, a light, fun, somewhat feel-good movie. Review: 60's movie - A very good movie. It is where two identical sisters find out about each other at a summer camp.

Anotoher incredible old Disney movie I absolutely LOVE!
I loved this movie when I was growing up, and continue to adore it. My parents divorced when I was 6, but got back together when I was 16, so this brings back memories to me. Hilarious and fun movie. Get it!

Silly and Fun😏
Have always been a fan of Hayley Mills; it was wonderful to see her in both of these films. PT 1 was the best of the two imo. The part of the movie filmed at the summer camp was my favorite. Even though I went to camp many years later than this, it still brought back such wonderful memories. Silly and special fun. Oh happy days.😊 The plot is highly improbable but that didn't detract from the wonderful acting and the nostalgic magic of this movie. I also loved the scenery, clothes, furniture (wow, I wanted that white sectional sofa!) and the music. Spoiler.... Maureen O'Hara was so beautiful and a perfect mom, good casting there. Brian Keith not so much. And having a drink of booze in his hand constantly didn't fit with this kind of children's movie. Joanna Barnes was great as the gold-digging fiance. PT2 was also improbable but still entertaining. Spoiler... Hayley is a beautiful single mom in this one. The two young actresses who played the daughter and her best friend were terrific. Tom Skerritt is not my idea of a real "hottie" but they kept bringing that point up. Too hairy and yucky yellow teeth....they could have done better there.😕 This one is quite short but all ends well which was as expected. It had its moments. I also appreciated the extra info included on the second disk including an extensive interview with the actress who played Haley's double in many scenes. Interviews with other cast and crew. How the film was made in this era before all things digital. Hard work and very creative people made that possible. Disney Studios turned out some classic family films in this era that are still worthwhile today. For less than $10, well worth it. A must have set for any Hayley fans, like me!😏 Helpful votes are always appreciated.
