TaylorMade Golf SIM2 MAX Driver

Man, people weren't kidding about this being a great driver. I blind bought this because of how many people I had heard online and in person talk about how amazing this club is: Forgiving, good feel, very reasonable price. I was sold. Took this bad boy out to the range for the first time and I want to say I didn't hit a single bad drive. Coming hot off the heels of using a 15+ year old Cobra HS9 driver I got at a garage sale, this was like driving a Bentley after only knowing a 1992 Accord. This driver hits the ball extremely straight, far, and consistently. Huge sweet spot for those of us who tend to make a lot of contact with the edge of the club face. If you're looking to get a game improvement driver at a reasonable price, pick this one up and I don't think you'll regret it

Great feel, nice driver. Changed the grip, much happier than old driver.

This driver has added about 20 yard and is very stable. My 20 year old driver could produce a hook if I swing over 80%z. This driver gos very straight with an occasional managablr fade. I can only get a draw by strengthening my grip. Excellent mid sized grip and A shaft because of my age. Beautiful looks and builds confidence at setup. Expensive but worth it if you play a lot.

Massive upgrade for me coming from a Cobra LTDX driver. The cobra driver was an awful fit for me, low spin, low launch etc… this SIM2 has totally transformed by driving. Three rounds in and I’ve not missed a fairway. Very forgiving, I’m launching the ball, distance is strong and the Ventus shaft is perfect! This is the best golf purchase I’ve ever made.

Great club, although it’s a 2021 modal. I got it with the regular upgraded shaft. I’m 68 yrs old, getting 220yrds and fairly forgiving 🤣🤣🤣

To start off, I really love my SiM 2 Max driver. It is the best driver I have ever had! It has an enormous sweet spot, hits true and gives me great control on all types of shots. The only thing is that I purchased the SiM 2 Max on Sept. 5 2024 and it has a rattle inside the head. I haven't had it checked for integrity but I was a bit concerned it may have a problem. Again, I loved the club, but I was concerned about it over the long haul. As a note, I used my Burner driver for over a decade before I had numerous surgeries, sold it, thinking I'd never be able to play again. Anyway, I started playing again and headed straight for TaylorMade. P.S. TaylorMade sent me a new driver to replace the SiM 2 Max - a Q1 10!!! I nearly fell over when I opened the box. WOW! I've used only TaylorMade drivers and none other, here's why - TaylorMade is a company that stands 100% behind their products, makes exceptional drivers and woods and will make every effort to satisfy their customers. BTW I also purchased the TaylorMade SiM 2 Max 3 hybrid - the SiM 2 Max line is AMAZING for my game. Buy one and you'll see what I mean.

Absolutely the best driver I have ever used. I went from driver being my least favorite club to driver being my favorite club.

Now I recently bought a set of Calloway rogue st max irons and a TaylorMade sim 2 driver. Played this last week with both and shot 89.. not amazing but good. The driver I used to have was a TaylorMade as well and when I first started hitting the sim2 I felt a very noticeable difference. It felt well balanced in my swing and I didn’t slice or draw the ball as much as I normally would have. I don’t have any crazy dilutions that a club alone will change your game drastically but I do feel like this new driver helped me swing truer as I didn’t slice the ball nearly as much and that comes from balance . Striking the drive true makes it sound like a pro just hit it and I believe had it not been 40 degrees while I was playing it would have gotten me a few extra yards. Would I recommend this driver ? Absolutely 100% . Cannot beat the price. Most clubs in its range go for $600+. This is 1/2 the price. I will update more in the future as I get more rounds in with it and will have a better opinion for y’all later. First shots on the driving range before my game, I was easily cranking it out there 220-240 , which is ok, I need to work on my swing. But the more important thing is that it for sure 100% helped my slice . I was hitting straighter, placebo effect ? Maybe but I doubt it. If u don’t have a TaylorMade gold wrench, get one too because mine is 10.5 and I prefer more of 9.0 and it doesn’t come with it . Comes with the head cover and that’s about it . Ob-v the club. Feels great and it’s still a 5 star rating. The grip is also very nice. But most players change the grip anyway, stock is decent. Something to note, on this version, TaylorMade has stopped using the sliding weight, which I never have used but saw a a lot of YouTube reviews that said this is one of the bigger changes to their driver, but has one weight, directly behind the sweet spot which I might upgrade to a heavier one to see the difference. There is also another weight or adjustment you can make to it on the bottom but haven’t found out what it means yet, again, will update when I have more rounds under my belt. Worth it for sure !!

I love this club. It is very forgiving and it brings a smile to my face every time I use it. I would not hesitate in recommending golfers to consider the SIM2 MAX when looking for a new driver.

I found it to be a light club. Not sure if that is supposed to be late for a driver.

I am getting 20 -25 yards more but most of all 8 times out of 10 in the center of Fairways
