?fudge pans? What a lovely idea! Pans measure (inside) 5"x4"x1 1/2". I calculate holds about 16 fluid ounces. Stated capacity 1 lb. You could put pretty paper or label on cardboard lid. Note that another company offers this size pan with a clear plastic lid. (50 pack).

How deep is this pan? One place it says 3" and one place it sys 2.1".

The usable depth is 1 1/2 ". The foldover edges add another 1/4" to the overall height.

Can the cardboard lids be used in the oven, and if so what is a safe temperature?

It states "Do not put the lids in the oven", so I'm going to go with... NO.

I used these for leftovers for folks to take home after a summer picnic. They are sturdy enough but the thin cardboard lids are likely not good for long-term freezer storage — I would wrap the whole thing with foil to be safe, before freezing.
