Great replacement for my previous food processor
My old Cuisinart gave up the ghost after 20 years; I bought this as a replacement and it is still an excellent choice. I had the advantage of already being familiar with the processor - the only differences were 2 sizes of slicer attachments and it still fit my old dough mixer blade. Great food processor - strong, reliable, and efficient. Whether you are slicing mushrooms, grating cheese, or mixing dough, this is a great tool for the cook - easy to clean, easy to use, and up to jobs that require real power.

Powerful, Easy to Use, and Great for Meal Prep!
Very impressed with this food processor. It’s powerful, easy to use, and makes meal prep so much faster. The blades work great, and everything comes out evenly chopped or sliced. Easy to clean and feels like a high-quality product. I would definitely recommend it

Quick work; big help
I used this food processor for the first time yesterday, and I was very happy with it. It is almost the same as my prior one, but the performance was much better. It made crumbs from pretzels very quickly. Also, all the parts could be cleaned in the dishwasher, a real boost to the process.

Powerful, functional, ease of use
works great. powerful motor, very stable, not too noisy. Sized or countertop; dishwasher; easy to use once you get used to the locking safety system. Sale price plus Amazon prime was a great deal.

Good quality, very sturdy machine that works well, but has a lot of parts to keep track of
This is a sturdy machine that's working well for our large family. We used it this week to make coleslaw and also to make shred up some potatoes and onions for latkes. It works quickly and concisely once in use, but it really is a lot to get started with and set up. It's a very long-term, well-built machine, but it's also very heavy. Heavy can be good for a quality motor, but it's a bit cumbersome to move about and store in the kitchen. I love the larger size jar for 11 cups, although we still fill it faster than we expect to. It's a big upgrade over our former 6-cup processor though, so we are pleased. Not the easiest to clean, but can go in the dishwasher, which is a help. I do just wish it didn't have quite so many moving parts! At least the operational buttons are straightforward and simple. I have found disappointment when shredding onions - it's very normal for them to leave long, thick skins that aren't shreded.

The Kitchen Appliance I Should Have Bought Years Ago
I put off buying a food processor for years because I convinced myself I didn't need one and honestly that was one of the worst decisions I've made in my kitchen. Got this one and I have used it more times in the past few weeks than I expected. With a newborn at home I need to get meals done fast and this thing has completely changed how I cook. Chopping performance is incredible — what used to take me ten minutes of actual effort takes maybe thirty seconds and everything comes out even which is more than I can say for my knife skills on a tired day. Speed is great across all settings and it handles everything I've thrown at it without struggling. The lid functionality is solid, it locks on securely and I never feel like it's going to pop off mid-blend which was something I was worried about after reading other reviews on cheaper models. Quality feels really substantial — this does not feel like a flimsy appliance, it feels like something that's going to last. Smoothness on purees and sauces is really impressive, no chunks left behind. My only thing is storage — it's a bigger appliance and finding counter or cabinet space for all the attachments takes some planning. But honestly once you figure out where it lives you stop thinking about it. Completely worth every penny.

Not happy with the "renewed" purchase of this item as parts were missing.
I bought the "reconditioned" or whatever it is called and regretted it. It came WITHOUT the spatula and without the instruction guide. I should have just bought a new one. I don't understand how the inspection could have missed ONE OF THE TEN PARTS plus the instruction manual were not returned with the item. I am really disappointed in this purchase. I feel like I did not get what I paid for. My understanding is that it was in "mint" condition -- basically excellent. But that is not true. As to the item itself, it performs well. It is VERY HEAVY. Cleaning is difficult but that's not surprising. It came without a FINE SHREDDING DISC and so I will need to purchase one.

Allows me to use all the accessories from my (older) Cuisinart DLC-2011N
I had an DLC-2011N food processor which had developed cracks in the plastic after 15 years. It still worked, but I wasn't comfortable using it. Repairs were expensive and unavailable, so I decided to replace it. I had invested in two additional discs and an accessory holder - and I didn't want to abandon them. I heard that the DLC 8S series was compatible with my old accessories, so I was ordered this processor. This DLC-8SBCYP1 does indeed fit my old accessories, but further, it has a larger motor and is the only one I found that comes with a 2mm slicing blade - the disc I use most often. It also has a second cap that makes work easier when the slicer is being used rather than a disc. I recommend this as a great replacement for anyone with an older Cuisinart 11 cup food processor.
