excellent backpack
The Osprey backpack has a light internal frame that supports the weight of the pack. The pack is easily adjustable to a variety of torso lengths up to 3.5 inches difference. The shoulder straps and hip belt and can be readjusted on the fly. Accessible compartments on the hip belt can hold items like snacks that can be used without removing pack. The top compartment is a detachable day pack. Several outside compartments allows for a variety of equipment loads. A central outside compartment can be use for a large water container. The bottom compartment will hold a rolled up sleeping bag, and pack includes an integral rain cover. Large interior compartment will hold all you need for a back packing trip. High quality, well constructed back pack, with the advantage of being very adjustable to the individual

Good load capacity but over-engineered
I bought this for a heavy water carry in the desert to replance TNF Griffin. So heavy loads that frame tubing was pushing out from the bottom. Well this does the trick. But it's way over-engineered. Too much everything. Sidestrap goes over the water bottle so you need to use a Nalgene or something. Soft flasks won't work.

Legendary Osprey quality with tons of thoughtful features
I’ve used, enjoyed, and (sometimes) abused my Osprey gear and I’ve never been let down by the backpacks or luggage. This pack is no different. The materials and components are high quality and I trust them to hold up under the most demanding conditions. The various straps, buckles, and gear loops provide a lot of flexibility with carrying everything needed for a weekend or more. Compared to my ancient external frame backpack I’ve had for years, this backpack is literally a game changer. The range and ease of adjustability makes it simple to get the fit just right. This is both good and bad because the pack is so easy to carry that I’m no longer tempted to keep the load as lightweight as possible! Yes, there are lighter options out there. But I’ll gladly trade a slight amount of weight for comfort and convenience. I think it makes the experience more enjoyable, and that is what these packs are for, right?

This has it all!
Huge fan of Osprey and this does not disappoint in any way. Tons of storage and compartments. The shoulder straps are well padded. The chest harness and waist harness are easy to adjust and remove. Osprey's sweat guard will keep your back dry, as the net padding keeps the backpack off your back. The bladder compartment is easily reachable as it is located within the backside, so no digging around to replenish it. No complaints, I am very impressed with this four plus day adventure bag.

Osprey makes the best packs period !!!
This backpack is the top of the line, pro osprey pack, besides their anti gravity series. This pack features compression straps on both sides, straightjacket straps, and sleeping pack straps for any outdoor needs you may have. You can fit snowshoes on the straightjacket straps, skis, blanket, chair or anything else you can think of on the side straps, and a decently sized sleeping pad or bag in the straps. There is a roomy sleeping bag compartment with the main compartment and easy zippered front access right above. A seperate zippered pocket for your hydration bladder so it's easy to slide in even when the pack is fully loaded. Ospreys stow on the go trekking pole loops are always one of my favorite features. Dual waist belt pockets are a must. Fit on the fly waist and shoulder straps with load stabilizers, and a super breathable back panel. You can hike 15 miles a day in the sun and still have a dry back without being worn down. The back panel is solid and has excellent weight distribution. I put 30lbs in this pack and it was the lightest 30lbs I've ever carried. The shoulder and waist straps are super comfortable and dry fast. My favorite part is the removable lid that converts into a pretty roomy day pack. Osprey doesn't specify but it looks to be about 10 liters, has torso straps, outer gear loops and an external pocket for a hydration bladder. Pretty much the ultimate week long backpack for any time of the year, with a smaller pack attached to it for side hikes. Best. Backpack. Ever.
