This backpack propane tank carrier makes killing the weeds a breeze
This backpack propane carrier works great to go around the yard to kill the weeds. It is well made and sturdy. The D rings make it easy to hook and unhook the propane tank. The straps are easily adjusted. I would highly recommend this item.

Solid
Good pack, works great. I live at the bottom of a steep hill, too steep to drive down, this pack helps me get tanks up and down quite a bit easier. I also put a 5 gallon bucket in it from time to time, for toting things up and down. Works well for that too.

Works but could be better
I bought this to hold a 10 pound propane tank and it does. I don’t like the plastic buckles on the waist belt as they broke while setting down the tank. I replaced them with a metal raptor buckle belt set and now it functions perfectly.

Light, fits the tank, easy set up, don’t buy for weeds
Works well. Make sure you purge the line after use, don't leave any propane charged in the line as it will cause the trigger to become sluggish or stick. Also unfortunately for me, it was ineffective at suppressing weeds. Yes they burn, but they come right back. I used it in some rocks that I was trying to clean up, and the weeds were back in a couple weeks. I used it to try to burn dandelion puffs in my lawn as well and made some brown spots even though I was trying not to burn the grass. Would not buy again for the purposes of weed control. But if you’re looking for a torch that burns REALLY hot and moves around with ease, 10/10 recommend.

Great propane torch.
Man this looks and works great. It burns very well on both snow and weeds. It fits everyone in the family. I think the value is great. I've not had any issues with performance or and leaks.

Must buy for anyone looking for an easy carry option!
I must say I was skeptical at first about the need for a propane cylinder backpack. But after seeing one at my friend’s house, I decided to give it a go. Boy am I happy! The stitching on this is strong and sturdy. I tested it on both my 5 Lb and 10 Lb cylinders that I had filled up just recently. The way they provide padding makes it so comfortable to carry around, you barely feel the cylinder. You don’t even realize you are carrying a full propane tank! The 3 metal carabiners for extra safety and stability are a huge added bonus. They clip on easily and ensure that the propane cylinder is not going anywhere. Straps around the cylinder are top notch and the adjustable waist belt is a great fit as well. I am happy to say all my skepticism is gone and I would definitely recommend this as a quality purchase.

CAUTION: DANGER!!!
Question for person reading this: Take a guess what happens when backpack shoulder straps rip away at shoulders while carrying a propane tank? I am sure you guessed it. The entire unit falls from your back to the ground. Hopefully, you are not reaching, on a ladder or some other height. This might cause the propane hose and torch to get ripped from your hands. Maybe worse, the tank or regulator begins leaking propane and the lit torch lands next to the propane spewing out or God forbid, you are still holding the torch in your hand while gas is leaking everywhere... Well fellow consumers, this above scenario happened to me. I am a contractor in California, and the very 1st time I attempted to use the: Flame King Propane Tank Backpack Carrier for a 5lb or 10lb Cylinder. I had a brand new 5lb new Flame King tank secured in the backpack. I was over 8 feet off the ground on a ladder when suddenly the backpack straps ripped away at the shoulders leaving only the belt strap with plastic quick release buckles which quickly snapped away as well. As you can imagine, gravity transported the entire backpack along with the propane tank (connected by the D-rings) down towards the concrete ground. Luckily, I held onto the flame-lit end of the torch. So, now I have propane spewing out below me. No way to turn the gas off at the propane tank and a lit torch in my hand. Note: Gas was spewing out due to the damage to MY regulator impacting the hard ground. Quickly, I turned the brass dial on my hand torch to extinguish the flame and ventured down the ladder where there is a crowded parking lot. Just FYI: I was working near a Children's Gymnastics gym. Things could have gone REAL BAD, REAL QUICK (to say the least!!!) My goal here is NOT to bash Flame King but try and get THE WORD out as quickly as possible to each and every consumer out there. God forbid this product were to injure, severely burn or take a person/people's life... PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL if you are to use this product. I was only carrying a half full 5lb tank. This product is apparently rated for a 10lb tank. Also note, a filled 5lb or 10lb propane tank weighs much more than just 5 or 10lbs! I am not sure if I have ever left a review on Amazon, and I purchase a ton of products from their site. I just feel it is my duty as an American citizen, fellow human-being, contractor, and United States Marine to get the word out as quickly as possible... This happened to me on 1/18/2024. I will not be stopping here with trying to get the word out. Any time you are dealing with flammable liquids and flames and are selling a product to enhance the usability of these 2 things; Safety should be the #1 goal. As you can see in the few photos I have provided. I believe safety was forgotten about! We will see what Flame King does about this defect. So far, I have reached out to Flame King and have not spoken with them yet. However, I did speak with Amazon and what I was told after Amazon reached out to Flame King. Is that: Flame King's response is they will only accept damage responsibility that occurs during shipment and/or delivery of the new product. Not damage done to others, others property or the user's property while using their product(s). Which translates into "My loss is their gain; I am left with money out, no usable product, and damage to my personal equipment." Fun, fun, fun. God Bless America With Respect, Joey S.
