Bedroom spotlights nice colour, one flickers though which is quite annoying

These MR16 LED bulbs provide a bright, warm light that works well in living areas and feature lighting. Light output is strong and even, with a pleasant colour temperature that creates a comfortable atmosphere. They’re a good replacement for traditional 50W halogen bulbs. The bulbs fitted easily and worked straight away on a 12V system with no flicker. Build quality feels good and they stay cool in use. Overall, a reliable and efficient set of LED spotlights that perform exactly as expected.

Review is for warm white 5W MR16 LED bulbs. Just replaced my bathroom and kitchen halogen down lighting with these. Obviously don't know how long they'll last (will update this review in 6 months) but out of the box, all 5 bulbs worked. On the subject of packaging it was all cardboard, no plastic, which is nice to see unlike other brand LED bulbs I've bought recently. I mistakenly bought some cool white (daylight) LED bulbs beforehand which are just too harsh for my taste. Cool white is actually weird. It's like the room is bathed in light from a full moon. Cool white/daylight bulbs are probably more suitable for offices, workshops, etc. These warm white LEDs are better suited to the home and are much nicer and actually pretty close in colour and brightness to the halogens they replaced. However the huge improvement these LEDs have over 50W halogens is they only consume 1/10 the energy and are barely warm to the touch when lit. Halogens run ridiculously hot. You burn yourself if you touch the bulb or the metal surround, even minutes after they've been switched off. So you're saving the planet, saving money and won't burn your roof down.

They are fine, just be aware that if you are replacing halogens from a fairly old set up, they can flicker/ not quite be compatible… something to do with transformers? Half my house has the wrong kind of transformers half is fine where the house has been extended & improved by previous owners, we are going to have to change the light fittings to more modern ones as we decorate rooms. Just something to think about when purchasing. I’m not sure if you can still buy halogens though so….

Très lumineux, bon angle de diffusion, température qui tire vers le neutre mais reste très agréable. A voir si elles tiennent longtemps mais je suis satisfait !

El efecto de la luz es incluso mejor que el de los halógenos tradicionales. Es muy brillante, resalta los colores y es muy cálida. parece mentira que sea de led. El ángulo de 36º permite una iluminación de acento muy dirigida bastante bueno. No es adecuado para salas amplias y con suelos oscuros, porque da la sensación de ser poca luz, pero no es cierto. Lo único es que dirige la luz muy enfocada al suelo pero si pones un objeto debajo, parece que está en un escenario. Es la mejor luz LED que he visto en mi vida. Ah! Yo las he puesto con los transformadores que tenía para lso halógenos, y de momento me funcionan sin problemas.
