Imachinist S561814 Bi-Metal Metal Cutting Bandsaw Blades 56-1/8" Long - 1/2" Wide, 14tpi

My fault. The length is what I wanted and to be able to cut soft metal was what I wanted but, I neglected to check to see the width of the blade. I can't exceed 1/4 inch, and this is 1/2 inch. It won't work. Chalk that one up to experience.

I don't review often but I feel like these blades deserve it. Cuts through bronze and aluminum, even the hardest alloys, like paper. Used it on my Delta benchtop bandsaw. Bandsaw is only rated for a 3/8" blade but had no problem with this 1/2" blade.Unfortunately tried it on some 1/16" mild steel and the blade dulled to an unworkable level very rapidly. Still going to buy another as the quality is superior to any of the other blades I've used for cutting non-ferrous metal.

Bought these even though they are not specified for our band saw but no regrets at all, these are the best metal cuttingblades we have had, our Duracraft never cut hard metals this well.

I was chewing through 3/8" aluminum nice and slow and didn't hold up.

Good quality, with a blade cover. Fits my old 20 year old bench top Delta bandsaw.

Used the blade to cut hard handle material for knives

This blade worked perfect for all the jobs I had lined up. I is so hard to find a small toothed or machinist blade in this short length but this blade did the job perfectly.

I am currently using this on my cheap old King 9" band saw for a project. It is very sturdy and doesn't wander at all. It even sounds different, giving me great confidence that it will not break. Instead of the screaming sound normally made with my other blades, this one cuts with ease and the sound is more of a buzzing. I have only used it for wood so far. I am even ripping my lumber with it with excellent results. Delivery takes a couple of months, but it is worth the wait. I have already ordered another one.
