Spigen Liquid Air P Designed for Galaxy S21 Ultra Case (2021) - Matte Black

After owning both the official Samsung S pen silicone case and this one I can safely say this one is far superior. PROS: Protection is good, buttons have a great feel, plastic is very sturdy and has a hard feeling to it, much different than the soft and grippy Samsung case (which while nicer feeling, is unbelievably attracted to lint/dust). The S pen can only fit in 2 directions (instead of all 4 sides like Samsung's) but I find this choice to slim down the case just a tad more which than Samsung's. Also after removing the pen there's actually an empty slot to rest your left thumb on when writing, meanwhile the Samsung case is super awkward to hold when writing due to the big empty gap on the side. CONS: Not much to say, overall the design is perfect and I have not found better. The rubber/plastic used is rather hard feeling and would definitely provide little grip if not for the grooves which makes up for it. I don't have issues with it collecting dust/lint like Samsung's but I do wish some of the sides were a bit less sharp. Summary: Great case, 100% must have for anyone with an S pen (honestly just buy it separately from Samsung's case). It's also tempered glass screen protector friendly.

Fit: fits snugly. Non slip: Perfect, it is non slip without cohesiveness on clothes preventing easy removal from pockets. I am able to remove easily now, better than the rubber/silicone cases. Protection: It is adequate with a raised lip for screen protection. Any better protection would require one of those coffin boxes cases that completely defeats the portability and beauty of a smartphone. Everyone manufacturer boasts of sleek lines and thinness only for users to complete obscure this with excessive protective gear. Pricing: excellent. Pen holder: excellent. Wireless charging: excellent. I liked my magnetic holder in my car but the magnets I had to paste to the case prevented wireless charging. I changed my car holder and now I have the best of all worlds. I just leave on my charging pad and it charges fast. Will I buy again: absolutely. I researched well for this and it is perfect for the needs mentioned above.

I've had several cases by Spigen over the years and I have never been disappointed. I'll say this: if you're looking for absolute style and cutting edge design, I don't think Spigen is the name for you. They make great cases, but they are kind of plain looking (not absolutely all of them, but most). This case is no exception. The honest truth is, I went with this because the only other one that fit the new Galaxy S21 Ultra S-Pen was made by Samsung and was priced absolutely insanely high. Yes, this case is rather big. Especially wide in order to hold the S-Pen, which as we all know, is the ONLY reason you'd buy it, right? The S-Pen is sold separately however, and as I write this, Samsung is the only place to get one that fits this and the Samsung case. I'm sure knockoff's will hit any day now (especially since I've already made the investment and paid the Samsung premium price) but as of right now, it's the only one. I've seen some that can fit the smaller pens that come with the Note series phones, but not this one. I thought about using the S-Pen from my Note 9, but I plan to eventually sell it and when I do, I'll need that pen available. I previously had a case which had a sliding cover for the phone module, which honestly I think everyone should adopt to be honest. Yes, it's annoying to get used to opening that slide before you can take a pic, but if you wish to properly protect your investment and arguably one of the chief reasons why you'd invest in an S21 Ultra, I think they are a fantastic idea. Anyway, the Spigen case does not protect the lenses of your cameras, but it does make it so the phone can lay down flat, which is impossible to do without a case due to the extreme camera bump. All in all, I'm quite satisfied with my case. Spigen does it again.

There is a short list of S-pen cases for the S21 Ultra. Credit to Spigen for designing and offering it. The only other offering is direct from Samsung for 3x's more, $59.95, for now. Cases can make a phone better. And this case made the S21 Ultra better. Fact is the pictures of this Spigen S-pen case are slightly misleading. First the pic shows the "Spigen" logo being white. It's not, it's glossy black. The pictures led me to believe it was a much softer rubber than it actually is. This is the a primary complaint for me. I prefer a less hard sandy plastic composite and more rubber TPU soft feel, not as slippery, a little more give in the fingers when I hold it for more hand comfort and confidence. It isn't bad, minor, but ideally, it would be a much better case if it were softer and more rubbery, less plastic feel. The feel of the actual phone naked is much better, but it's difficult to do that confidently, so I do need a case and a place for the S-pen. Fit: the fit is exceptional, and the girth of the case is on par with the ability to house the S-pen. The S-pen fits nice and secure, tightly, and I feel quite confident it will not fall out. But it's easy enough to pull out for quick use. The S-pen holder does it's job precisely, adding to the S21 Ultra's productivity features. It works very well. Quality: Exceptionally well cut. Cut outs are exact and even. I see no noticeable flaws in overall fit to the S21 Ultra. It raises the phone when the screen is face down off the surface by just millimeters to protect the screen, and does the same for the camera. Premium and precise cut out. Detailed side grooves lined is a nice extra to extenuate confidence in holding your S21 Ultra. The S-pen compartment is also a well designed layout. The back cross cut groove design looks excellent and feels nice in the hand overall. Setting expectations with accurate pictures and meeting it when it's delivered is a big part of customer satisfaction. Because the pics, IMO, were misleading, my expectations weren't met. Without those misleadning pictures, I would likely give a 5 star. That's the bottom line. With that said, I will use this case with my S21 Ultra, replacing the OEM Samsung clear case with a stand, that I got with the trade in Samsung offer. It's nice to be able to carry the S-pen and it's also nice that Spigen stepped up to offer this, and give me a better price alternative to the Samsung OEM S-pen case. Should you buy it. Yes. But base your expectations on this review. Not the actual Spigen pics and description. Word to Spigen -- do better with your description and pictures for your buyers. Quality and Value met.

This case fits fantastic. I've had several cases for the S21 Ultra that do not fit super well. This one fits very snug and feels very high quality. DO NOT BELIEVE THE REVIEWS CLAIMING THE S-PEN WON"T FIT. The S-Pen fits very well. The listing is very clear this case is not for your left over Note S-Pen, it's not designed for that pen. It will also not work with your Tab S-Pen, it's also not designed for that. This case is designed for the S21 Ultra Samsung S-Pen only. If you bought this case and did not read the description and complain it won't fit your S-Pen for your note, you deserve what you get. The creators could not have designed it to fit both the pen made for the Ultra and the pen that is half the size. If you get the correct S-Pen the pen fits very well and I have never had an issue with it falling out or feeling insecure. It will add girth to your phone (DUH you are adding a pen to the side.) That is a trad off you have to decide if your willing to make. I like being able to sign documents and PDFs so I like it. I do not feel that the amount of girth it adds is too much. The case can feel a little slick, not where I think it would fall but it's there. This case does a very good job of protecting the camera, there is a significant lip. I am happy with the case.

I have both Samsungs official s-pen case and this one made by Spigen, and there are some big differences. I actually like this one better, for starters. Here's why. The Samsung case is nice but damages easily and it also has a matte finish that collects dust and oil very easily. It doesn't come out of your pockets easily either due to the texture of it. I do like the look of it, but functionally they missed the mark a bit. It's also double, even triple the price of the spigen case. Now on to the spigen case. First off, I love the texture and feel of it. It has a textured pattern on the back that just feels nice. It is also sturdy and seems like it would absorb damage and drops well. The s-pen mounts to the side (just like Samsungs case) and feels secure without adding too much bulk. Overall if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose this one hands down. The only con I can think of is you have to buy the s-pen separately.

Had this case for over a year and it's one of the best. This phone case has been THROWN, not tossed, around multiple times (for unrelated reasons. It may just be that I have a decent screen protector.) I can't say specifically how it lands itself but it's definitely bounced around faced up/down/whatever and it's still perfectly fine. I can't say the same if it were to fall from a high place. I would hope not. I got the S-pen from pre-ordering the S21 Ultra + other items up to $100. So yes, you would specifically need to get a S-pen fitting this case (you can still buy the pen at BestBuy at the same $40 price). No, it does not come with an S-pen itself but that is written in the description. All you're getting is a $20 case. That being said, I barely use the S-pen and misplacing my phone makes it harder to find with it being a black phone case. But as much as I would like to get a different more visible phone case, I am too afraid that a different phone case will not hold up better than this one. Durability is more than I could ask for. Quality is good enough. I'm not picky and I don't need it to look a certain way but I like the texture it has VS the Samsung version I could've gotten. The pen has never come apart from the case even when thrown so for $20, it's a steal.

Easy to remove is a great thing... If you want to remove it. First I will say it's a good case. Not great. Not crap. It does what it should. Second... Hopefully you ignored some 1 star reviews... IT DOES HOLD AN S PEN... NOW DONT STOP READING... IT ONLY ONLY ONLY WILL HOLD THE S PEN SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR THE S21 ULTRA 5G. I can't believe that needs to be said...again. FINALLY... my issue with this case is the ease of removal. When I put on a case I want it to stay on. I want it to be a bit of a hassle ( like 10 seconds) ... This case however... Can be taken off in 1 second. That's how easily the right side (volume power side) comes off. And I mean it will literally move if you swipe against it. It's good for walking around the house... But if you're going out and increasing the chance of dropping it... Stick with the otterbox or heavy duty spigen... Wait for a better s pen case... I'd prob expect one with the s pen plus release this year.
