Carhartt Legacy Deluxe Work Backpack with 17-Inch Laptop Compartment, Black

Multiple pockets. Used for work, travelling and everything you can think of. Wish it would have a sternum strap though?

I needed to replace a $75 bag from another company that began to tear apart after 3 months of use - traveling to and from work, not overloaded or abused and after many hours of searching, looking reviewing and reading up on bags, I decided on this Carhartt bag.I liked the size of the backpack and the various compartments and pockets and I needed something to haul a 17" laptop and most bags only fit up to a 15", as well as various files, document and papers for work. I also tend to bring a lunch to work with me and several small portable hard drives depending on which work I am doing on any given day (even though I am supposed to be retired).First the pros of the bag;- good size, will fit a 17" laptop in the one compartment, snug, but it does fit.- It has 3 main compartments including one for the laptop.- the middle compartment has lots of room for papers, files, lunch containers, a pair of shoes, clothes or whatever else you want to put in there.- The front one has a small pencil case type mesh pocket in it, good to hold pens, markers, sticky notes, etc. It also has 2 sleeves within the main pocket. I use them for a couple of small hard drives that I use for work. They are separated from the slot for file folders, note book - or other items. It also has room in front of the 2 sleeves for other items - I have a large hard drive that is loaded with movies and music which I take when I travel for work and want to have some entertainment rather than trying to find something on local TV.- There is also has a small pocket on the top of the middle compartment for sunglasses, accessible from the outside of the bag which is kind of handy.- There are 2 zippered pockets on the side for water bottles, gloves, wet-wipes, or whatever you can think to put in them. They'll easily hold a 500 - 750 ml bottle (depending on size and shape) and no real worries of it falling out and if small enough - you can zipper it closed.- there are 2 zippered pockets on the front of the bag, the bottom one has a couple of small storage pockets inside including an envelope sized pocket , a key clip, and a couple of elastic straps to hold pens, markers or small "tube-like" items - lip balm maybe??- The bag seems to be well made with strong stitching and zippers.- the material seems to be fairly heavy and durable, and has an abrasion resistant section on the bottom, but it doesn't cover the whole bottom.The cons; - the interior sleeves/pockets would be better served if they had a flip down top or cover that snapped or velcro'd into place to hold any items from popping out if the bag lays on its side or is jostled.- the shoulder straps seem to be a bit short (I'm 6' and 220lbs) and it would be nice if there was a sternum strap between the shoulder straps to help stabilize the bag - but that's not a deal breaker and one could easily be created if you really want one - which I will probably will be doing in the next few weeks.- the bottom of the laptop pocket could have a little more padding on the bottom to help protect the laptop when you set the bag down - for me a small thin strip of closed cell foam and it's good.- The description says it is water repellent - not wanting to take chances I will likely be coating it with a waterproofing spray like scotch-guard or similar and if I have to venture out in the wet - I'll have a waterproof cover or waterproof bags inside to hold things.Overall I like the size and look of the bag and time will tell how durable it will be. and I am hoping that it stands up to daily use for the long term as spending $140 for a bag isn't something i want to repeat 2 or 3 times a year.

Tiene una bolsa para lentes, bolsas utilitarias laterales una bolsa superior frontal ideal para un celular tipo phablet y un bolsa frontal inferior con más bolsillo para organizar lo que lleves. Dicho bolsa frontal inferior tiene un bolsillo especial para celulares de tamaño más redu p30cido (un gama alta como s10+ o un p30 pro apenas y caben). La única contra que le encuentro es que al ser una mochila ligera pierde la forma adecuándose al contenido.

This bag is amazing. I was hesitant because of the price at first. The price was about $113 when I bought it and I wasn’t sure about the quality of it.I needed a laptop bag the could fit my 16 mac book pro, my tech gear, water bottle and coffee and all my pandemic gear for my job.It’s so hard to find a good bag that does that all that. This bags does.I have a hug hydro flask water bottle and a travel coffee mug that I travel with that fit really well in the side zip up pockets.It has plenty of room in the laptop compartment. It fits my 16 inch Mack book pro, the charging cable, the Mac book extension cable and faceshield all at the same time.I love the hidden pocket at the top. It’s it a great place to put a small sanitize bottle or my bus pass. Your keys can fit into this pocket too but they also have a key clip as well in a different spot.They have lots of other little pockets, that are great for organizing pens, other small items.The main compartment is amazing too. I can fit 3 days worth of food for, or shoes and clothes for a weekend. It will in no means replace a suite case but would be great for a weekend trip with your tech gear.This bag is so good my husband wanted one so I bought him one a month later. We both love it!

Great bag in every way but one. It’s not balanced when you set it down on a flat surface. The bottom of the bag isn’t very rigid or supportive. It will immediately fall over forward onto its front pockets. I need a bag that can stand up straight without falling over. I want it to sit upright like it does in the pics. I’m really disappointed because so far it’s perfect in every other way.
