I like it
I wanted a hose that wasn't a chore to coil up after use. This is my second expandable hose. The green one from the "big box" store (also sold on Amazon) lasted for about 8-10 uses before it formed a bubble near the end I was holding and burst. It was exciting (for a second), and then, "oh, crap. There's $30 down the drain." A regular hose can be repaired. Expandable hoses - no such luck. When it goes, it goes forever.Instead of a layer of fabric that folds in on itself when the rubber insert collapses, this hose has a knitted exterior which provides substantially more wear resistance. It also has strain relief and brass fittings. As with any expandable hose, it only expands when there is water pressure to make the rubber insert expand. It's possible to lay the hose on the ground without any kind of nozzle and let water trickle out, but the hose will be about 10' long. To get 25', there has to be some kind of nozzle on the end to restrict flow and build up pressure to expand it.There's no comparison with a regular hose, which can be pulled roughly, driven over, laid out to trickle, etc. As a regular hose, this would be unacceptable. As an expandable hose, it's about as good as it gets.So far, I'm quite happy.

The hose seems like a good product idea that counts on the customer ...
1. First time I used this hose, it frayed. Fabric threads 1-1.5 inches long hanging off the central section. Surely a hose manufacturer would factor into their choice of materials that hoses will be dragged across sidewalks and driveways.2. This hose does not expand to 25'.3. My local hardware store, where I bought another brand of expandable hose (the black fabric kind) said they have had many demands for refund of expand/contract hoses because they disconnected or broke internally and leaked. Hardware store's advice was to turn them on and off slowly, in small increments, giving the hose time to do its expand/contract thing.4. Either the manufacturers have not done adequate research and development, or they have and know that the hoses are going to fail within a short time and are trying to make as many sales as possible before the word gets out that the hoses are overpriced junk and sales fall off completely. The hose seems like a good product idea that counts on the customer to pay for testing in both money and time.5. Very disappointed. At least with product like the pet rock, you knew before purchasing that you were buying a joke.

Very happy, hose works great, extremely portable!
Great hose, expands to longer than 25' if the water is on and turned-off at the end, then down to around 25' once the water is flowing. Some have reported that this new braided-style of hose will rip easily. I had already assumed that and I don't abuse it. Having used it frequently without abuse, it's worked really well for me. I've now purchased three (different brands of this same style hose) and have had no issues with any of them. They all seem to be identical, no matter the brand. If there were occasional issues (again, there haven't been), I probably wouldn't mind because they shrink and store in the most compact manner, which is worth having to buy a new hose once in awhile, to me.The one major down-side is that you can't really leave this hose sitting out. eg- don't use it to run to a sprinkler and leave it out in your lawn for several days. Every time the water is turned-off, it will attempt to retract and it may yank the item on the far end.

Fell apart after a year of use
Purchase Oct. 5, 2016, and on April 3, 2018 (so only one summer of frequent use and hot temperatures) I tried to use it for the first time this year -- the hose had burst in two places and was totally useless. The tout "indestructible dual latex core" (or something similar), which is obviously not the case. For the 12-15 months that I used it, it was fine, but I wouldn't expect it to hold up if you leave it hooked up outside.

Good hose, but leaks at faucet
I would have given the hose a 5 star rating because it's very sturdy and works well HOWEVER the connection at my faucet LEAKS! I can't stand a leaky hose! I responded to the manufacturer because they sent me an email thanking me for the purchase & said if there were any issues they would be happy to handle them. I told them about the problem and they said that this happens with some faucets. They will send an additional washer/O-ring that should solve the problem...I hope it works! Otherwise I've got ANOTHER leaky hose!

Wish It Would Have Lasted Longer
It's all in the Stars. Five stars for Light weight and Ease of use. Two stars for durability and candidly, I kind of suspected that. The issue isn't creating leaks by dragging on concrete, although it might someday, the issue became a leak at the end that connects to the spigot. I sure liked the ease of this hose but there's a traditional hose where this used to sit.

Solid build, works better than expected
The hose itself works fine. The brass connection make a good seal and there are no leaks. The built-in shutoff valve works well too.My only concern is that the hose frays. I don't know if this will have any longer term impact on the hose, but it looks a bit troubling. Don't get me wrong... so far the fraying has no impact on the performance of the hose. Just looks odd

Internally Connection Failure
I purchased this hose 1 1/2 years ago. It was treated well as I did not pull it excessively, kept it in the shade without any pressure on it and disconnected as well as drained it when there was a possibility of frost. I live In North Carolina where the winters are usually fairly mild. The junction between the hose and the fitting for the faucet end has come apart internally. When I turn the water on it sprays out through the grey fabric cover near the faucet. I would not buy this hose again as I expect that it should have a longer lifetime.
