While the file is excellent, the plastic storage case is literally a piece of junk. I had to put tape around it to keep it closed in my purse because it kept opening and the file would fall out (because the file is glass, the case is a must to keep the file from breaking).Today I noticed the piece on the top of the case had come off - it’s not functional and can be glued back on - but I keep the file in a pocket in my purse with only my lip gloss and a pen, so there’s no reason the case should’ve broken that easily. I’ve had the file about 5 months.Update 8.24.22: case came apart in my purse and the file broke. Will not bother replacing … this is the 2nd file the case is useless and file ended up breaking.

This is the second file Nail Tek file I've purchased. The first was from my Manicure/Pedicure Tech about 20 years ago. The original file actually still works but the case no longer stays closed as it was kept in my purse for all these years. I decided to treat myself to a new one. So that should explain how good these files are! It files my nails better than any emory board I've ever used. Clean finish with no sharp edges. I'm extremely pleased with Nail Tek's product and if I live another 20 years I might purchase another one for myself! In the mean time this will be a go to gift for my best friends and my girls!

This is a nice little file that easily tucks away in your purse. The file itself is great. Works very well.The only thing I am not pleased with is the case. It comes apart too easily and as a result I usually find the glass file out of the case and therefore vulnerable to breaking.

I really dig this. This is the first and only crystal file I've owned, and I've purchased it twice. Switching from a traditional metal file to a crystal file was eye-opening. It is SO much gentler on the nail, and glides so much easier. I will never go back to using harsh emery boards or metal files. My only gripe is that I don't like the rounded edge of the file. I can't maneuver the file as easily, and can't reach the nail corners like I can with the pointed file. Sometimes, I have to fish out my old pointed metal file just to reach those places. When this one wears out or breaks and I'm in the market for a nail file again, I will look for a crystal file that is pointed like my old metal ones.
