Impressive performance
I had low expectations about the speed of this HDD. But to my surprise I am getting a sold 200 to 250MBPS write speed. Such speed is similar to SSD external speed that ranged from 500 down to 100 maps, the Seagate is actually giving a similar performance.

Noisy, slow and it'll fail in few days/weeks!!
I got this disk a few days ago, when initially connected to my laptop, it was so noisy, I never had such noisy disk in my life! Transfer speed below average. Eventually it's dead now! I had to return it today. Gonna find a better disk.

Don't be fooled .. saving your info to the 'cloud' .. is just sharing to someone else's computer. Save everything on your own devices and share not with who knows who's out in the aether. Privacy is privacy and this is how you do it.

External usb hard drive, works exactly as advertised.

I've bought quite a few Seagate products and external drives but this one is really poor. First off when I started it my PC would freeze up once I started to copy files onto it. I thought at first it's from one of my USB controllers but it wasn't the case. I've formatted it which took surprisingly long, around 12 hour + Once done I've create a new partition and started to copy files over. No freezes or blue screens now however the maximum copy speed I can reach with it is around 12 to 15 Mbps which is extremely low as I need to copy some video recordings of around 250 GB. This shows it would take around 8 hour to complete. The sound it's making is pretty loud compared to any other Seagate External Drive I own and the rattling is basically vibrating my whole desk non stop. Had to put a soft cloth under it as it was getting very uncomfortable. It's clear that the drive has issues and is very poorly made. Very disappointed this time in Seagate and this product. In all honestly if you have an alternative buy go for that and avoid this product if you can.
