Options Trading: Quickstart Guide is like many of the books by this publisher, a quick no nonsense primer with a lot of information packed into an easy to read book. Unlike other books in the Quickstart series, this one does not have the table of contents links up in the kindle interface. A moderate drawback as I tend to go there in order to make quick jumps around in the text. There is still a table of contents, it's just at the beginning of the book in hyperlink format. So if you want to jump around, you'll first have to go there and then jump from that to what you are looking for.The six chapters in this book are:Chapter 1 - Options BasicsChapter 2 - Call and Put Options - Trading FundamentalsChapter 3 - A Sound Options Strategy for a BeginnerChapter 4 - Key Influencers On the Price of OptionsChapter 5 - Win at Options By Speaking GreekChapter 6 - Popular Options StrategiesPlus of course an introduction and conclusions section as well as a glossary and references.I have some stock experience but nothing really with stock options. This book gives an excellent basis to work from. I particularly like the many scenarios that are worked out throughout the text. All the online and regular old school offline investment firms like Ameritrade, Fidelity, etc offer relatively easy ways to get into stock options, but if you don't know what you are doing it's going to end in sadness, much sadness. Most of these brokerages offer some online training in all stock trading in general but also options trading and there are third party websites like dough that have training courses. I would suggest going through this book first as it will definitely impart all the basic knowledge you need to determine if this is even something that would interest you at all. There's no sense in jumping into detailed training on something that may not float your boat, on the other hand if it is something you're interested in, it's better to get a good foundation to learn from before jumping into the deep murky waters with intensive training.This books hits the sweet spot of imparting enough to give you a clue but not so much as to overwhelm you. I have acquired this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my fair and honest review. I take this very seriously, as I like many of you rely on these reviews when making purchases. As others have pointed out I would recommend that you don’t just look at the ratings on these reviews, focus on the reasoning behind the ratings as that will give you much more insight into the product. Good reference book

in the begining of you do not know about options trading you will feel a little bit lost, I recomend you to read it again, and again until you get it

Book was written for a beginner. After reading and then attending a seminar the concept on trading was enlightening. Option trading is different from Stock trading. A person need to understand basic technical analysis and how to read a stock chart to track trends.Options is not something you learn overnight. It is a process and the language in trading options need to be deeply implanted within the mind.I love the challenge!

I really enjoyed reading this book.Having spent the last few years trading blue chip shares and spec shares I wanted to learn a different way to invest my money.This book is a great starting point to get a general understanding of option trading.I plan on re-reding this book again and also investing in a few other books on options trading as you can never learn to much!I would recommend this book to anybody looking to get started in options trading*Disclaimer - I received this book at a reduced price for an honest review

Good book, but lots of typos. Great for getting started. Feels kind of weird since it references and quotes other books constantly, but I guess that’s helpful in a quick start guide. Combine this with other guides.

I was looking for absolute beginners guide to options trading. This book filled that need. It is logically laid out, well written, and doesn’t have a ton of Wall St voodoo that a beginner would get lost with. As with any endeavor I like to build a solid foundation and then after having gained some understanding expand from that point. This book is an excellent starting point for that foundation.
