2019 Camry SE - Removes Throttle Lag (Detailed Review)
First things first, it is a quick install. It does NOT require powering off/unplugging the battery, letting the car die, or any other things that other competitors require to 'function properly with the car'. Simple quick Plug & Play. Just look up (preferably on youtube) how your pedal plug can be accessed easier and that's about it. (you can also eliminate any 'wrong way' plugging by taking both sides of the device's plugs and putting them together so you can see how it fits correctly. They mimic the vehicle's plug parts exactly.) What does this device do? -It removes all latency and "overthinking" that Electronic Pedals do by default. -Electronic Pedals tend to hesitate and think about what you're trying to do when you put your foot down to go. Which can be a nuisance and also dangerous for merging into traffic when you feel that need to over-push on the pedal just to get the system to react quicker so you can then accelerate. -Electronic Pedals can also make you feel like your car tends to jolt or shove forward abruptly at times just when you're trying to accelerate a bit and not even a lot. Especially if applying the brakes to slow and then pushing on the pedal to accelerate right after. Understand that there's 2 types of pedals for the most part: Mechanical Pedal (old school) Electronic Pedal (new school). -Old pedals had a direct physical link to the throttle control and reacted immediately to your foot pressure on the pedal. -New pedals read by an electronic plug being attached to the pedal, sending electronic signals to the throttle control to tell it how much foot pressure you're using on the pedal. Also, the more gears your vehicle has (6, 8 or 10 gear) can cause the system to act more wonky too when trying to decide what to do. Which again, seems to be completely eliminated with this device. Acceleration & Speed Do you get more power from this device? Faster Acceleration? Even more speed? Power & Speed is a no. Acceleration? Yes & no. -I wouldn't buy this if you're looking for more speed output and power. That's not what this does. -It will give your vehicle its truest acceleration rate if there was no latency. But your actual speed is still always determined by your actual vehicle's tunings and capability. Who should really benefit from this device? -If you are a casual driver that takes their time to go from 0 to the speed limit? You don't need this device. You're driving with a mental ECO mode on by default and you'll see little difference. -If you're a casual driver that likes to reach the speed limit quickly, weave through traffic, get from Point A to Point B and not necessarily speed a lot but you don't like to drag and go slow? This is perfect for you. -If you're a speed demon, yes this is for you. Especially if you have throttle lag in the vehicle. The Modes F1 (Comfort/Regular), F2 (Sport), F3 (Sport+), Auto (Tries to imitate what it thinks you drive like on the fly), ECO (Should never be used) -Let's get ECO out of the way lol. It moves your vehicle so slow that it's practically dangerous to be on the mode even in its 9 highest setting. I wouldn't recommend bothering with it. -F1 is your vehicle's regular standard mode honestly. It is how your vehicle would simply move without throttle lag. The .1 through .9 settings have a little theme to them. Seems like .1 to .3 acts like a low-end responder to acceleration to make you more chill on the road. The .4 to .6 puts you in your car's best natural range of acceleration. And .7 to .9 gives your car a little sporty kick to your regular driving. -F2 is Sport and is pretty strong. Pushes your car to react to getting accelerated a lot faster than normal. The .1 to .9 are similar to the F1 in the way that higher means even more of it. -F3 is much more sensitive and quick to throwing your car like you were rev'd up prior to accelerating and is ready to just floor it even with the smallest touch. You don't need this mode really. Especially since it'll spin your tires out more than give traction for speed. And it's just a waste of gas. F1 and F2 work the best for effiency, acceleration and traction without loss. The device has other mode options that I won't get into. In conclusion, the summary is that this device is good for the type of driver that just likes to go when the light is green. Whether from 0 to speed limit or beyond. F1 is really all you need as the purpose of this device really is more to get rid of latency and response time than anything. It's not a speed booster or overtuner for the vehicle. It's a lag eliminator.

Great Upgrade for 4Cyl Cars!
This thing is so awesome. I always hated the slow takeoff from red light in my 2012 Camry 4Cyl in all my years of owing it and this device absolutely fixes this for me. Delivers power quickly soon as you press the pedal. Overtaking becomes breeze. Obviously as others have said, it doesn't make the car faster, rather it makes it "feel" faster. Put this device to F2.6 w/ Sport Mode and your drives become a joy each time. I wish I knew of such device back in 2012 when I bought the car. Placebo? Nope! From my research, I heard of Pedal Commander, but didn't want to fork so much money without knowing if these actually make a difference or just placebo so I decided to go with a cheaper alternative like this XTROS 8-Drive to give it a try and upgrade to Pedal Commander later, but boy, I don't think I will ever need to. This gives me exactly what I need and more. I don't think Pedal Commander would offer much of a difference for the price they charge compared to this one. I actually installed this and never told my wife about it to test if it's placebo or not. She drove it about 2 weeks and didn't tell me anything. One day, out of nowhere, she tells me car seems to get up to speed faster at the lightest touch to the pedal and asked if I did anything to the car saying she has noticed this from last 2 weeks :). Needless to say, she likes the upgrade too. Install: Installation was a breeze. Just unplug the sensor, add 8-drive device plug, and plug it back in. Took 5 minutes total. They provide adhesive if you want to stick it on dash and the wire is plenty long to route it anyway you want. I personally just stash it inside the space under the steering wheel. Build Quality: The device quality is just okay. The digits on the screen are readable and bright. The casing is plastic. The buttons are mushy though - not that clicky/tactile feel you'd expect, but they're functional. You'll most likely set it up once and never have to touch it again so it's a minor issue, but they should've added that at this price. I've had the device for about 3 weeks. Time will tell on the longevity though. I'll update the review if any issues later on. I'd highly recommend this brand and the device especially if you have a 4 Cyl car where you want to add some pep to your drive.

This thing works!!
I just couldn't bring myself to spend $300+ on a throttle commander, and for $60 I decided to try this out. I connected it, and it threw codes galore on my dash....I tried to clear them with my OBD2 module but no luck. I figured as long as it takes the lag out of my 4runner I'll be happy. I purchased a remote starter as well which I went on to install, and after connecting that the codes were all gone (probably unrelated). Regardless, this thing works!! I had it in FF mode when I went to test drive it out and nearly freaked! The lag on the acceleration is gone completely! I'm sure it's killing my gas mileage but hell, who cares! I'm no longer driving a "Slow-Runner" lol! Seriously, this thing works great!

It Actually Works…
Hi, I heard a lot of people talking about “throttle controllers”, and believe me they do work. The install is not complicated, I think the most challenging part is that you are working in an awkward position when trying to remove the plug from the gas pedal. Once you find the correct position, the install is pretty simple. Smiles. GWNOW, is a very helpful vendor, they will work with you before hand, and also while you are trying to install the item if need be. The product works very well, and the provided instructions are helpful as well. If you buy this product you will not be disappointed. I like the fact that it has different modes, and it even has a one touch feature that goes from whatever mode to race mode very quickly. I am enjoying the “throttle controller, and you will enjoy it as well. Dexter H. 2022

Product works
Update: seller has reached out and provided troubleshooting and also resolved concerns I’ve had. I have increase my rating to 4 star. Purchased this product as new and I received a used one. The back side of the device did not have plastic over the double sided tape and was stuck to the packaging, which tells me someone used it and just returned it. Wire also didn’t have a tie on it; another indicator it was used. I’m very disappointed that this company would sell me a used item. That’s not good business. I will be returning but before that I of course tested it out. Honestly, the device does what it says it does, but in my opinion it’s pointless for my vehicle. I’d rather just drop gear to get more power if I need to. My automatic vehicle allows it and I’d rather not have a check engine light on. I ran diagnostics on it and it pulls up P2138 which is the throttle position. This device will cause your vehicle to pull this code. To me, not worth it in the long run.

Don't put in lock mode
It works for throttle response. I would recommend NEVER putting this in LOC mode, you may not be able to reverse it. My car parks outside, so, on a particularly cold morning, I put in throttle lock mode as it warmed up. Before the haters come out, yes I recorded and input the PIN I created. I had to remove it and go back to the old way or I couldn't drive the car. The directions are somewhat clear, but I was never able to get it "unlocked". Overall, do not recommend for this reason only.

Simple, instant results, extremely affordable. 🙏 Kudos 👏 9-Drive
I live the instant throttle control. It was very annoying and sometimes I felt hazardous trying to merge onto the hwy and it be slow to gain speed. In town, I won't lie, I dart around a bit, but my 4rnr makes it difficult to "get up and go" with the manufacturer setup. This device is the most affordable throttle controller I have found. Honestly it works just like my pedal commanders did in my other vehicles. (Another brand if not familiar) This will not void warranty using this device. If you are still worried, it's super super easy to unplug and replug... You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

I SAID GOD DANG!
Upon install it instantly made me think of that scene in “pulp fiction” where uma thurman, as the big man’s wife, rips a big ol’ bump and exclaims “I said god dam*” and that is exactly the feeling you will get EVERY TIME you accelerate. Really brought life to my old LS460. I know Lexus gave us 380 ponies but they really make you work for them. Instant torque and “oh dang” mode with sport 9. I am truthfully afraid of racing mode after using this mode. Don’t buy pedal commander- buy this! China forever.
