how do you adjust the band.......

In order to adjust the band, you must remove links from the band. This can be done by a jeweler, or at home if you have a watch adjuster kit. I removed links at home, but you can only do this with the proper watch adjuster tools. A jeweler will typically change around $10 to do this.

Is the color really bright and shiny or is it a dull gold color and what is the diameter size?

I'm a hospice social worker and bought this for one of our patients. It was bright and shiny but for the price of the watch (I usually buy watches in the $100.00 to $300.00 price range) I was quite surprised how good looking it was and worried about it disappearing in the nursing home where the pt lived. He wore it until he died. I don't know the diameter but I would call it average, it wasn't a large diameter.
