Romika Alaska 118, Women's Snow Boots

The fit is absolutely true to my size: the boots are very comfortable and warm, and have a pretty good grip in light mud/snow etc...I have only given four stars as in showers, or short grass, they are fine, but walking through long, rain-sodden grass and a certain amount of thick mud, they are definitely not: my socks and feet were drenched where they let the water in between the sole and the upper. And this was also true in deep snow, which they are supposedly meant for. Yes, the membrane of the upper is waterproof, but if the manufacturers don't make a proper waterproof joint between upper and sole, then they shouldn't truly be described as waterproof. If you are wearing them in average footpath or pavement conditions, or relatively light snow, I'm sure they'll be fine, but I think they should be treated as a warm, shower-proof boot, definitely not as a serious walkers/snow boot.

This is my go-to winter boot so why does it only have 3 stars? Well, it fits perfectly, looks stylish and will keep my feet lovely and warm BUT for the first time in 5 pairs I am having trouble with the zip on the left boot. I am hoping that this will get better with use but struggling at the moment! Totally shocked that Romika let this one slip through the net but I will persevere.

I have been wearing Romika snow boots for years and although they last well I replace them when getting a bit old. This particular one is a little tighter (narrower) that previous ones but is fine as is. I can't live without them in the snow and ice and they give me a good grip. I struggle with laces and so having a zip at the front makes them easy to get on and off but still keep my feet warm and dry. No snow boots are pretty on your feet but these are as good as any and I love them.

Bought these for a forthcoming trip to Norway in winter. Really pleased that I could get such good looking boots in a great colour in a size 9. They are light in weight but warm. They don't look enormous. Only problem is that both zips stick if opened fully. However, I'm able to get them off and on by only partially opening the zip.

I bought a size up as a lot of reviews suggested and although it wasn't a problem I think the cold cause your feet to shrink anyway, so ended up wearing 2 pairs of socks in the end. the shoes were super comfy and warm and kept my feet dry. They also didn't look too bad, I thought they were going to be very butch ugly, not so, the red was very nice.

I am a tall lady who takes a size 10 shoe and after reading reviews decided to take a chance on buying these boots, I was hoping that they were not going to be massive and look manly, so was pleasantly surprised, they are not a fashion statement, they are what they are but they fit nicely with room to wear thick socks if needed, and they don't make my feet look huge ☺have tried them out in snow and ice and work ok so happy

Romika boots are great this my second pair,I wanted a different colour. I use them instead of wellingtons. I find them extremely comfortable even better than my walking boots.

I love my boots I received very happy with the order I am replacing a pair that I had already for about 6 years and I wear them daily and they are washable so at the end of winter I wash them and put them away until next year they are great and a perfect fit. Thanks again
