Genuine Subaru 15208AA12A Oil Filter, 1 Pack

I'm happy to say I'm pleased with this purchase and have been in the past every time I bought this Subaru oil filter for my Forester. It arrived nicely wrapped and sealed in a tight plastic wrap which I appreciate. Great product.

What can I say? It filters oil. Doing my fair share of research prior to just slapping something on my 2017 Subaru WRX STI I wanted to see everyone else's experiences with oil filters. The majority of people seem to be running the OEM filter with different oils. I combined it with Motul 5W-40 and so far the car seems to be running much better than when it did brand new with subaru oil (oil gets credit for that.) These are fairly priced even though you can pick them up for around 6-7 bucks at a dealer. So its a 1-2 dollar convenience fee I guess.

Despite being listed as non fit ent for the sti is in in fact a direct replacement and correct part number. My bit of disappointment is the lack of providing a crush washer with each filter. I searched online at various retailers for this filter and at a comparable price those retailers also included the crush washer. So now my effort to avoid a trip to the dealership will now result in a trip to the dealer for a couple washers. Had it not been for having some Amazon bucks available to discount the price of these filters I would not have purchased them through Amazon and Subaru online parts because their pricing is actually above that of the local dealership picked up.

Good OEM filter at a good price. Don't get a regular oil filter from the big chain stores or even the auto parts stores for your Subaru. The bypass pressure is much higher on the filter required for my 2009 Forester so I either get a WIX or the OEM Subaru filter.

Always like getting OEM when I can, but it was needed in my car's case. Every single parts store around here has a larger filter listed for my model, and wouldn't fit. Finally tried this and got the right fit!

I have been using this for my STi and it works great. I do change my oil every 6 months or 3000 miles. I dont see any differences between this oil filter than the one that came with the car. The price is good and it ships to my house.

A bit on the expensive side, but I really needed it and didn’t want to drive around my city trying to find one. It truly is a replacement for the old part number 15208AA12A. My car runs an EJ208. (Equivalent to an 02 WRX, but has been single swapped, and Frankensteined back together.)
