Core Focus Grade 7: Test Practice for Common Core (Barron's Core Focus)

First time I'm buying Barrons mixed Ela and Math book (before for the 6th grade I got them separate). This book is as awesome. The answers are so detailed and full with information unlike other books I bought in the past that would have for an answer "answers would vary" explanation.I highly recommend this book to anyone who is trying to help their child in the subject.Also, the contents are:Reading: literature - 6 lessonsReading: Informational text - 8 lessonsWriting - 4 lessonsLanguage - 4 lessonsMathRatios and proportional relationships - 3 lessonsThe number system - 4 lessonsExpressions and equations - 5 lessonsGeometry - 6 lessonsStatistics and probability - 6 lessons

These books are informative and up to standard. My daughter was able to complete them in a few weeks. The ELA section is superb. The math section were used with a tutor and he thought it was great. What have nice with modes of these books is there aren’t enough practice questions for math. I always buy several different kinds for math.

Great resource! However, it does have a few errors that turned out to be good learning experiences. That the key is in the back of the book is helpful. Some of these books have the answers on the same worksheet and plenty of us can agree that this often does not work for 7th graders.

Started homeschooling after 1st quarter this year, this is a great practice test book to use to make sure your child is understanding the math they are doing. This practice book helps us as parents see where our daughter is struggling.

Got this over the summer. We found this book to be difficult to work with. There were no example sections, no explanations of the topic, even in the answer section no "this is how we came up with the answer section." I've come across better book that give an overview of the section then some sample problems before tackling the problems. My child found the questions throughout the book to be vague.
