it's battery operated
it's not electric, I orderd it thinking it was for indoor use as a lamp. If i had read the decription I would have known that it's battery operated. It looked like it was easy to break if you were to drop it.I never used it and I returned it

great for anytime but a lifesaver when power is out
they don't say what color you'll get, all are great. it's like an extra surprise when it arrives. i was hopeing for green...guess what it was!! put the batteries in turned it on, and i loved it. two days later the power went out, and this little lantern became my best friend. as a matter of fact i'm buying 2 more as soon as i'm done writing the praise of this product. gives off great light, no worries about fire, great design..fits in with anything you own. could not be happier with the quality and price.
