VAIO Z Laptop (Intel Core i7-6567U, 8GB Memory, 256GB SSD, WQHD Display, Windows 10 Pro)

I purchased it because this was Consumer Reports top rated laptop for 2017 and I must say its the best I've owned. A little pricey yeah, but its honestly worth the extra $$$$! I upgraded the I5 to I7 and the performance is amazing. I also upgraded to the Windows 10 Pro. Visor has a good rated customer service system in place which is a plus. You get what you pay for, you really do people. I Highly recommend. A+Side note.... write a review not a book.

Waste of money... spent lots of money only to discovery that the battery stopped charging and it doesn't re-boot... This happened twice. The second time Vaio claims they will repair, if it fits under their warranty. We'll see. I contacted them four days ago and was told that it would need to be repaired in New York..that they will send a box for me to use for shipping to New York...Learned a lesson, stick with Dell or Apple.. those who understand a business person's needs and develop and manufacture reliable products, and have good service.. Do not waste your money.

SummaryI LOVE this laptop. Portable. Lightweight. Durable. 1440p screen. Battery life. All are great features. I've taken this with me during business meetings, watching Youtubes, programming, video editing... I pretty much did it all with this laptop and it is STRONG enough to do them all, in a neat and professional package.When I bust out my laptop, I get stares from others who are curious what it is. They say, "VAIO?" and I have to explain that the story of Sony selling the Vaio brand to other investors and blah blah blah. They were thoroughly impressed with it. It runs nice and cool and not much fan noise, until you want it to work. Even NOW, 11/2018, people and friend are impressed with it. I can probably get another 2-3 years out of this since it works so well.Battery LifeIf you don't make it run like crazy, and watch 4K video, the battery life from 100% to 25% is an all day (7-8 hours) should be fine. I have it at 25% brightness, which is fine to me since I don't need it to be so bright to see. Not BLIND yet. It can pretty much last up to 10-11 hours, but when I get home from work, I just plug it in and not use it. So, 8 hour work days should be fine, even at 50% brightness.Portability and DurabilityThis is light. 2 lbs is nothing. Case is solid. It is built solid as well. NO issues at all for the 2+ years I have owned this.Definitely get this even though it is older and a bit pricey. You get what you pay for and this works like a charm after all these years.

This is my first vaio even though I remember the early purple laptops that looked great at the time, this is the first that had compelling differentiating reasons to look seriously at which is the FAST processor.I have the i7 version. I can confirm this has to be one of the fastest ultrabooks available right now. I have been able to try most of the popular makes for work.As a developer on the move I needed the lightest and fastest ultrabook available. After working with this computer 3 months+ I am happy and satisfied with the purchase.I like the full-size HDMI port. I had several variations of the smaller HDMI ports for previous ultrabooks, but they all required carrying an additional adapter.I also like that the VAIO comes with Windows 10 pro for SSD encryption.At my desk I am able to quickly connect to a 4k display.The track pad and keyboard are very nice, but I usually use the Bluetooth arc mouse instead of the track pad for longer sessions.Enjoy. Like a good pair of winter boots this one is worth it.
