My step dad is a huge fan of bonsai trees. He was really excited for this gift! It came with everything you need to get started and the box was a nice addition. I’ll update with how the growing process has gone but I know it’s a long wait.

I purchased this product about a month ago and was very excited to start up my seeds. I have cared for several bonsai trees in the past and not had any issue with them but I had never started one from seeds. I followed the instructions closely on the individual species, but unfortunately have not had any luck in growing ANY of the seeds. I've tried to get in touch with the company who sells this product because they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee but they have not gotten back to me at all. Would not but from this seller or their products again!

Bought the kit on a whim b/c getting seeds and growing tools individually can add up. The tools and box are cute and useful although I recommend not closing the box all the way with any moisture inside. It will swell and stick shut.More growing medium is included than you probably need which is very good.**I recommend independently researching how to scarify AND stratify each type of seed before you embark. The included instructions seem to be cut and pasted from various internet sources and are unfinished and unclear.Most seeds need to be sanded and soaked before planting but not all.Flame Tree needs some serious sanding but will grow crazy fast (sprouted 5 days after putting in soil).The others will take time. A lot of time. Like plan on leaving your Sakura and Ginkgo in the fridge for 2-3 months before you plant them. Then wait another month or so before they grow. But they do grow with proper treatment and patience.Overall happy with my purchase but I did spend a lot of time online and in books making sure I did it right.

Neat little starter box. The dirt pods grow huge. One pod might fill four starter cups.

I got what I paid for.. but I read the instructions and still nothing grew.. plus the wooden hplding box kept splitting the wood on me until I couldnt close the top anymore. It takes more than simple instruction to tend to bonsai seeds.

Came with everything as stated. Followed all instructions and I also have many other plants. Not a single seed germinated! Not in the way instructed and not in our proven way. All seeds were dead!

My grand daughter loved it and said that she can`t wait to get started getting it to grow!

I would have showed a video or a picture of these plants to show how nice they are but, Nothing growing from the seeds that were sent. I'm in my Sixties and I know what I'm doing regarding growing plants of all types... The seeds are way too OLD and could no longer germinate...
