very pleased
I almost did not buy this because there were no reviews--well, that and the lack of dimensions listed, but I rolled the dice on that one. Then I noticed that there were "only three left in stock," so I thought, "people are buying this, so it must work." If you need a review to buy, here it is.We bought this cover for our new soft leather sofa/loveseat set. We didn't want the cat/dogs jumping up, and in the process, tearing the leather. The cover is thick enough to stop cat claws 25-pound dog claws. The tag lists dimensions of 88"x75.5" but that does not mean much given that there is a seat/leg section, two arm sections, and a back section. The seat/leg section is 43.5" x 23". We have a reclining two-seat loveseat and the product works on it. It does not slide around when trying to sit/get up, which reviewers comment on regarding other products. This kind of cover does slide, but only if one pulls on it.This is not a stylish cover--it is grandma-quilted-style--but what furniture cover is stylish? The point is, it works.

Attractive, but really made for small furniture.
Eh, they're okay, I guess. They're fairly attractive, but... Obviously they'll slide badly on leather, and it amazes me that anyone could think otherwise. My furniture is microfiber, and I saw reviews that said these won't slide on it. I still assumed there would be some sliding, especially when first sitting down. What I didn't want, was to sit down and the thing basically comes off the couch altogether. I think if my couch were a little smaller, these would be great. If you have a couch that's on the smaller side, I'd recommend the product. If your couch is longer than average, or has overstuffed backing like mine, you'll never be able to keep them in place. It will take you a bit of effort to get them on straight and even, and then when you sit down they're bunching up and coming off. Again, if you have a smaller couch, I think they'd work great.

Attractive funiture cover
Some things you should know about the product. The color is a lot lighter than it appears in the photo. Still brown but not "chocolate". I bought this for my loveseat and the larger version for my couch. I have had people comment on how attractive the protector is and asked "where did you get that". Having said that there are issues. Nothing really anchors this product to the furniture. It slips a lot....and needs frequent tidying up afterwards. Not so much of a bother on a small chair or love seat but it is annoying. We have "poofier" arm rests and back than the sofa in the picture and much of the "fit" relies on having a sofa similar to the one on the picture. It still "covers" but it doesn't fit as well as the one in the photo. It will serve the function we bought it for. It is attractive and will protect my furniture against the new dog we are getting in a week. Additionally it is machine washable which is nice.

Doesn't stay put if you move around a lot
This item seemed like a good idea when I purchased it, as I am constantly dribbling pieces of bread or losing small things and articles of clothing inside the cushions and innards of my loveseat. However, for me at least, it doesn't stay put worth crap. I tend to fall onto my loveseat rather than just sitting lightly, and after this happens once or twice, the cover gets all mushed up and looks like it's being eaten by the loveseat (kind of like everything else before this so called preventive cover) rather than stopping things from falling through. I gave it two stars because it DOES seem durable and might work for some people, but it doesn't in the application I'm using it in. I suppose I could sew 2x4's into the ends of it to hold it in place, but I'm not sure even that would hold it. Anyways, best of luck to others who might happen to purchase this item.

This cover makes a better blanket than it does a couch cover and sadly ...
I purchased this to cover a couch where the leather (suppose to be leather anyway) started peeling. This cover makes a better blanket than it does a couch cover and sadly a blanket makes a better couch cover. If it was weighted on the back and sides it may do better, but as is there is no use purchasing it without intention to modify it. It may work on a couch that is never used and sit around like a decoration otherwise it will not stay in place. My niece has taken to using it as a blanket and it does look decent until someone tries to sit on the couch. I have not tried it on a fabric couch, but I doubt it will do much better at staying in place. In short if you do not wish to modify it and intend to use the couch then this is not for you. If just want something to cover the couch and don't use the couch this will stay in place and might do well.

I Like These!
I purchased 2 of these furniture protectors to cover two old loveseats until I can get around to buying some new furniture. The material is very nice in a quilted pattern. I bought the chocolate so if it got stained it wouldn't show that much. I don't have any animals, so dog hair or cat hair is not a problem for me. The covers do tend to fall down from the back and the arms also are loose, but what I did was bought some of those twisty pins to hold down the arms and used a staple gun to hold the back section in place. (Maybe that's why they call them "slip covers", cause they slip???) I stapled it in the back into some of the wood in the loveseats, just tacking it in about 3 places. and so far, so good. Everything seems to be staying in place. Just praying the material doesn't rip. I'll see what happens in a few weeks of sitting and moving around.
