Please advise what the round ball is supposed to do, are the doll pop up's supposed to hold down and then pop up

Yes you hold the doll down then let go and it springs ups good 4/5 feet in the air. The ball has one spare hole and you just push one colour down and move it and so on until you get all the right balls in the right caolour holes. First go is a little bit stiff but loosens up then, it’s good fun
