Will it fit a small womens hand?

For reference, the "ball" of my hand (the part beneath my fingers, analogous to the ball of the foot) is 3.25" across and this fits fine.

Does this help with carpal tunnel?

I have the beginnings of carpal tunnel and had to rehab. I was told to work without the stay (support piece) as your wrist will come to rely on it and to sleep with it in. It seems to offer relief at work as I don't tweak it too much anymore. I still wake up with my hand asleep though. I'd say overall, yes, for the most part.

What is the comfort level with the skin between thumb and palm? I've had to cut a big hole around there on my current brace and it still binds.

I have what I would consider medium-sized hands and think the hole is small. I only wear the brace at night so I don't have to manage using my hands with it on. The material would be easy to cut - but shouldn't have to, right? The strap between thumb and forefinger is the more uncomfortable area.
