Styling Comb

Yes, it is indeed an awesome comb-- feels very sturdy, perhaps even unbreakable...... but the labels are what get me confused. The Amazon product page says Carbon Ceramic, whatever that is-- but is it PLASTIC? Because in the packaging for the comb, it says it is made of a specialized plastic..... I know that plastic can feel like a lot of things, and look like a lot of things.... and this comb DOES feel like plastic to me (but not cheap plastic, if that makes sense). If I didn't like it so much, I'd probably try to break it (to see if I could, and also, what's "inside"?). When I think of CERAMIC, I think of something like a ceramic knife-- but obviously, that would be way too hard to be this comb-- because it bends, sort of like a normal plastic comb does, but without quite as much flexibility, like the material IS indeed TOUGHer than your normal plastic. Obviously, if the comb can take the temperatures it claims, it IS tougher than your average plastic. But alas, these are likely to be questions that remain permanently and enduringly unanswered-- unless the manufacturer wants to weigh in and provide some information. In the meantime, I'ma keep using this awesome comb on the little hair that I have left on my skull (which is on my face). I like it very much.

This is a large, well made comb that feels great in the hand and on the scalp. It's easy to control. The tines are smooth and snag-free (unlike cheap plastic combs). Not much more to say than that! Well, OK, maybe there is more. I was delighted to see this in the product description: - Heat resistant up to 230° for all hair types. I am glad they included this important detail as sometimes I do use a blow torch to dry my hair. However, as I tell my daughter when we do math homework together, the answer is wrong unless you include the units. So is that 230° C or F or maybe K? I mean if I am going to comb my hair while inside a blast furnace that detail is pretty important as I'd hate for the comb to melt.

This is a nice comb. I ordered it for my husband. It seems pretty sturdy and well-made for a comb. It's heat resistant so you can use it while blow drying your hair. It's lightweight. For the price, it's a good value.

I like that this is a premium style comb. Yeah sure, 7.99$ might seem a little pricey for a comb, but to me this is a premium product, and will last a long time, years even with proper care. So the value is there. The plastic is much harder then flimsy plastic, and the heat resistance is really nice because it gives you the piece of mind that when you're combing your hair while using the hair drier (like with gel in it for example), you don't have to worry about the comb melting or the melted plastic getting in your hair. This allows you to achieve some sweet boardwalk empire and madmen esque hairstyles, that a regular comb may not be able to handle because of the heat. I'm satisfied with this purchase.

i really like the rigidness of this comb. i'm so used to using the cheapy, bendy type that this really stood out to me. really easy to control brushing and styling while cutting or getting ready for the day. easy to spot in the morning when the low lights are on to not wake the wife. overall i would recommend!

This is not a comb for one's back pocket. It is hugely long--at least eight inches. My husband really likes it, however, because of how it is made. The plastic is much sturdier than other combs, and it is thicker and the teeth are rounder and do not grab and tear his hair. While he cannot carry it around with him, he keeps it in the bathroom and uses it regularly in his personal hygiene routine.
