These cables can last for years if you plug them in and leave them, but if continually unplugging etc the inner wires loose contact.

On the one hand, you can get no-name cabling for less money, or get the soldering iron out and roll your own. On the other hand, you could outfit your entire studio with ultra-high end gold plated boutique cabling. Or you can do what I learned to do over the decades, and just get Hosa cables for your day-to-day needs. They won't break the bank, they sound great, they last for years, and they make any audio cable/connector combination that you can think of. I got this particular cable for a Roland Boutique synth. But their stereo 1/4" cables of various lengths are the bread and butter of my studio and live cabling needs. Hosa is always reliable and reasonably priced, and I recommend them.
