Extreme Max 3005.3916 Deluxe Flip-Up Dock Ladder with Welded Step Assembly - 5-Step

We replaced our 3-step dock ladder with this 4-step ladder. Much better quality than our old one. Cost a good bit more but ever so worth it. We feel safer on this one. We like the stair-like steps, so much easier to get in and out of the water. This ladder has nice wide steps, plus the top one is double depth. Also this one's handles are about 10" taller than our old ladder from the dock floor, great for older or unsteady people. So glad we splurged on this one, also with the welded steps. Bottom steps raise and lower easily, but we will definitely be attaching a rope to make it easier to pull up out of the water faster. We are more graceful getting out of the water. My husband put it together quickly. Very happy!

The design of this folding ladder is exceptional. Fully-welded stair assembly with well-placed weep holes. Only six screws are needed to assemble it. Nice angle to the ladder, with wide steps for comfort. Looks good closed or open.

We attached this ladder to our dock and it replaced a similar, shorter folding ladder. This one is so much better, with deeper and wider steps that are more comfortable on the feet. We did have to drill one of the holes bigger in order to fit the holding pin in on one side. The longer length makes exit easier when the lake levels are lower.

We are getting older and in need of a folding, less vertical dock ladder that also has a longer depth. This one is perfect! Wide comfortable steps and stout construction. We added a rope to the bottom step to aid raising it since the hinge location makes it challenging otherwise.

I Bought this ladder late July, installed mid August and by late September, it has severe corrosion and has holes in aluminum, not to mention the screws are also rusted, zoom in on pictures and you will see. ***DONT BUY THESE LADDERS***Don't waste your hard earned money on any ladders from Extreme Max as they are all made from the same materials. Also any ladder that looks like this is probably built by the same company they just change the name. They are poorly made and are for fresh water only as you can see, any install near salt and you are wasting your money. I feel like these people are taking advantage of people and taking your money, specially during these hard times. The Seller advised me to contact the manufacturer for warranty, I called and they were kind of rude I guess because I was complaining, they told me to send them an email and I did. Extreme Max and the seller are not refunding or replacing this ladder, Extreme Max said that because this ladder was installed on treated wood, the wood was retaining salt and that was what caused the corrosion. They mention in their description that this ladder is designed to withstand any element a marine environment can dish out, which is not true. Again, these ladders are poorly made. Save yourself the headaches and don't buy any ladders built by Extreme Max as they don't assist with any warranties on these ladders or will not refund your money. If I can stop 1 person from making the same error I did I have done my due diligence. You've been warned.

Installed on or pontoon boat to replace the factory vertical ladder.My wife, mother-n-law, and grandkids all appreciate how easy it is to just walk up stairs instead of climbing the ladder.Easy to install. Wider than the original ladder.If you have an outboard and plan to install next to it, pay attention to your throttle/shift cable as the additional width may interfere.We are loving it.

Step was bent and we could not assemble. Contacted customer service by phone and sent pictures by email. Customer service was very helpful and offered to send us a replacement step. That was 2 days ago and do not have email that it has shipped. Hopefully that will occur soon.

I love my ladder. My husband put it together and installed it at the end of our dock so I don't know if it was easy to do or not - and he's not around to ask, however, he didn't complain! I can tell you we have had it for a year and I love it. We've had a category 1 hurricane and a tropical depression and the ladder held up perfectly. (We do keep it up when not in use.) I've used it numerous times to get in the water to swim and it never shakes or seems unsteady and I'm a healthy (over weight) gal. We once had wooden steps connected to our dock but one day they were gone. Not because of bad weather - they were just got so we replaced this ladder and we don't regret it!

It’s very similar ladder in a dock store off the 400, I think it’s the same factory in china that makes this one. It’s almost half the price.This one is the welded one. Have not installed it yet it’s fall. Did a lot of research think this one is the best for the money.
