Perfect for my DIYer needs.
Got it when it was discounted so knowing the KREG brand I figure this would be just as good as the other KREG products and it certainly is. It was very very easy to assemble due to the clearly written instructions and diagrams. All the parts are packed well in the box and the finish of each part was excellent. I needed it cause I already have a miter saw but its big and noisy and bulky and I have more tendency to using my circular saw for my DIY projects so this was just perfect. It is decent weight and made of combination of plastic and the wood parts are I think they call it composite or MDF like material but very well finished and has all predrilled holes as needed. Once I finish assembly and did the kerf line cut, I tried it out and it works fine. The only thing is to make sure you have it secure when in use. So I used my wood clamps to hold it down when I made my cuts. Works fine for my needs for 90 degree cuts and 45 degree cuts. I'm glad I got this and its handy to bring out and put away easy.

A decent tool
I bought this because you can use the circular saw like a mitre box and put a fairly wide piece on there. It does that very well. Setting it up was fairly easy following the instructions. One thing in fixing it to the work table. No screws come with it to do that and any normal screw head is too big to fit in between the rail that the work clip slides in. Therefore I had to modify a couple screw heads to fit in there. Second thing is I had a 5.5 inch circular saw. To use this you need a 7.25 inch because of the distance from the rails to the cutting board. Other than those things it is a very useful product.

Very handy and accurate
I have a very small work area and this Kreg Crosscut Station is perfect for me. Easy to set up, accurate, durable, light weight and very affordable ($39.28). I'm using my Ryobi 6 1/2" saw and it's a perfect fit. My 7 1/2" Mikita corded saw would have been a good fit too. For this jig I'm sticking with the same saw I set the kerf with. I'm a little clumsy with the built in clamps, but both are very handy and clamp well. I haven't used the miter attachment yet, but I do see it's a clever option. I was two simple clamps and they hold the jig secure, and if needed, it can be screwed down to be held in place. Easy to keep clean. It's saved me time from having get out my chop and table saws, without giving up accuracy. I would buy again, and I think it would be a great gift.

Easy way to make accurate 90 degree cuts in long pieces
A long way towards a chopsaw without the expense. I bought this because I don't have a miter saw for now. I do have a table saw, but the way my shop is configured for now, I can't easily use it for 8 foot pieces. I can cut wood to exact lengths with this on a work table without issue. In a recent job, I used it to easily cut down longer pieces into lengths I could use on my table saw. I needed to cut at angles for this project, and the table saw gave me the precision I needed. This works really well, is small, sets up in an instant, and makes it easy to accurately cut longer beams. It has features for cutting at an angle, but I use it for 990 degree cuts only.

Not as well made as other Kreg Products - do not recoomend
I am a big fan of Kreg...I have many of their products but this product is the worst by far. It is supposed to provide guid rails for a circular saw to make cross cuts on wood up to 12" wide. However, I found it almost inossible to line up the rails to get a 90 degree cut. The rails are self installed to fit the width of the plate on your circular saw. I have a Dewalt circlular saw and it was NOT possible to line up the saw in the middle of the jig as instructed (close but not centered). The worst part is that one of the rails has predrilled mounting holes that count on the end plates being lined up. The end plates are particle board that fit into a plastic slot...again, close but not perfect alinghment. The other rail was the problem, it allows you to easily misalign the rail to that it is not parallel to the other rail - hence, non 90 degree cuts. After much adjusting, I got it to where it was acceptable for what I was making, but overall this Kreg product does not measure up to the rest of the line. If you want to make accurate cross cuts, go with a track saw, this was a good idea but poor excecution.

What an excellent cross cutting jig.
I was looking for something other than a miter saw and came up on this KREG cross cut jig. Space is a premium in my tiny work shed and this does the job for me. What an excellent tool for cross cutting.

Small but versatile
While there are many tutorials for how to make a similar crosscut jig, at ~$30, this does the trick with little setup. It has the potential to replace both a table saw and a miter saw, as long as you don’t work with large stock. The rails are just high enough to slide 2-by boards underneath flat on their faces. This is a basic limitation of small circular saws, but something to consider. Also, it needs to be secured before making any cuts. Clamps can be used as long as they don’t get in the way. There are also holes for screws, if you need something semi-permanent. It was fairly straightforward to assemble. I did take some extra time ensuring everything is square. I was able to make some very thin cuts and they were very clean with no tear out. Any saw will be fine, though I do recommend getting a high quality blade.
